"The rest of the world" does not HAVE to wait.
That's your own dumb decision :D It's an option :D And you chose it.

If they HAVE to wait for the alcohol to grab the THC out, then the same would be true of WATER extractions ACETONE extractions and all other extractions.

You're just doing it for your connisuierrial reasons :D Remember?
thats just you saying a bunch of shit.... ill go by what the book says.

You keep saying alcohol, I hate that shit anyways... glycerol is the good stuff.... maybe thats why it needs longer.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I was thinking alcohol.

Glycerol may be like butter, and need to get hot for extraction...
Or sit for 6 months...

That makes sense.

I thought you were talking alcohol.
That's what I think when I think "Tincture" :D

No it's not me saying a bunch of shit.

And what book?
Did shiva give you a Marijuana handbook? No. And those are probably just some guys opinion your reading... I could write a book. What if you are reading words from someone like me :D

Does it extract like alcohol does?
Or slower?
Yes, to both, the first for sure and the second I think so. Unless, more like, higher temperature, maybe?

It's not as viscous. I don't make it myself. I let someone else do that for me. =)

So it's probably like butter.

Yeah, sorry Rowl, I thought you were talking about alcohol at first :D

Glycerin will extract more slowly for two reasons:
1) the high viscosity of pure glycerin (it's like hunneh!) slows diffusion and practically zeroes out convection.
2) It's very polar, probably right at the edge of cannabinoid solubility envelopes.

Frankly i'm surprised it extracts THC at all. But it gets good user reviews, so ~shrug~. cn

Glycerine... thats they stuff, taste sweet like honey.

And yes Fin...my book is by Shiva.... lol...no,just some recipe book I read at the dispensary sometime....but itdoes say 10 days at least for alcohol. maybe thats for flavor though. It goes on to say the longer the more potent, and some go over a year.

Well, it's still very much a liquid at room temperature. It's more of a syrup.

It reminds me of that highly corrosive slime they turn into coca-cola behind the self-serve button. Tastes loads better though.

Well maybe more of the THC can get extracted, but leaving your buds in corrosive fluids will pull not only the THC, but chlorophyll. So there is no way letting alcohol sit for a year would make it "better", just more THC-full, as well as more chlorophyll-full.
Like I've made acetone tincture, and it's EASY to shake TOO much, and leave it in for TOO long and basically get resin for oil...
Same thing can happen with alcohol...Even in just a day with good enough alcohol, and an enthusiastic enough shaker...

Acetone extract.
I'm gonna be an uptight librarian about this one. cn (the librarian)

Same thing

When making and extract you want it to be as clean as a tincture.

And if you READ Mr fuckin librarian.

I also said "Alcohol extraction" or tincture.
Not sure which.

But what about that?
Did you not get to that chapter of my post?

There is no such thing as acetone tincture. A tincture is by definition an ethanolic extract.
