Any advice on distance from plants or anything when using "Mars Hydro" 1600W LED lights?

It does have the veg & bloom selective switches, has anyone done a combo of both when vegging and flowering?

18-6 light cycle of combo? 18-6 light cycle of just veg? (when vegging)
12/12 light cycle of combo? 12/12 light cycle of just veg? or 12/12 in flower mode? (when flowering)

Growing in 5 gal pots of promix.

Its totally up to your plants how close you put them. Too close and it will discolor them, too far and they wont receive as much light. Constantly changing through the growth stage

i didn't want to put them too close. in case of burn. I've read to put them around 18-20 inches from plant, but that was for a different model. They seem to be showing good growth even after only a few hours under the LED.

What does the discoloration look like?

& what about the combos of light switches (veg & bloom at the same time vs just veg & just bloom). I think the more blue light is better for vegging & red for budding, but it would be a neat experiment (would rather not be frigging around lol)

I'm going to try to contact the person that made it then I'll post the info.

It will "bleach" the plant if it's to close. Shows up as little white/discolored spots on the leaves closest to they light. If you are happy with the growth rate than you probably have it right. The "goldilocks zone" will not be the same for every setup or strain. Run them as close as you can and if you see bleaching move them away a little, it won't kill them if it is corrected quickly.

The switches should be used to control stretch. More blue light will keep the plants shorter and tighter internodes, more red light light can cause stretching sometimes. I would run both on and only turn off the flower switch if you are getting excessive stretching.

Much appreciated! There`s been no bleaching so that`s good. I`ll turn the combo of both switches on. I have some bagseed plants going as house plants right now, i`ll experiment with them closer to the light.

I did a test with a bagseed plant. There seems to be no burn or anything negative after several hours of keeping an eye out. I moved all plants up to about 6-8 inches from the light. Sill trying to find that perfect Goldilocks Zone.
