Mars hydro leds not fully turning off

This has been a problem with LED lights since the beginning. My first Lighthouse Hydro LED panel 10 years ago had this problem and I fixed it by rotating the plug that goes into the wall 180 degrees. Literally just flip the plug. Every now and then someone starts a new topic about the issue and everyone is all surprised and thinks it's some new problem, it's not.

Then again I'm not sure how US power plugs work, we have two prong plugs in Finland.
at first, I did not believe you, but decided to give this a go. it works LMAO. I'm using a digital timer and I just turned the plug 180 degrees and no more dim lights. thank you good sir, I already thought I'd have to fork out 80€ for a new pair of lights. Hopefully these won't burn my house down when I'm away for the weekend.

This is why in North America they use a better system. This type of outlet is just wrong IMO but I know many countries use them.

Here you either have a 2 prong or 3 prong plug and you cannot plug them in backwards as one is smaller than the other.

Eh. Better and better. I like having the option to just STICK IT IN, without having to worry about a third prong.

Unfortunately it doesn't stop electricians from wiring plugs backwards.

Yeah, it's not like that annoying third prong (ground) ever saved anyone's life or anything trivial like that.

if you want the euro plugs are 4 prong as earth is on both sides, the exposed contacts are ground.
the big benefit of euro plugs connectors is that you cant touch the contacts while pluging it in. or out.
bet this saved some lifes.
normally US plugs are considered as the unsafest system, all others offer way more safety features.
not going to happen with a eu plug :D

Mars hydro lights won’t turn fully off when turned off, they stay dimmed slightly, have tried almost everything different timers, wall sockets ect... Has anyone with the mars-ts series experienced this problem
Just saw this post but yes it is common for the TS 1000 to malfunction like this It is not house wiring but the light causing the issue. perform the disconnect physically from the power source. This clears it for a couple of weeks but it will happen again. 100% solution if using the mars TS1000 do not use a timer and disconnect from the power

I just stepped into my tent with mars hydro fc4800
And the light just turned on by itself. Knob in the off position and goes on and off. Who knows how long it’s been flickering. The only tent I’ve had bad grows in and hermies. I was hanging my outdoor grow for the year. Only had this light for maybe 2 years. And 3 grows
