youve probably been to vacation towns. people there are into suckering tourists and thats it. they want to con you into coming back, by convincing you its not such a bad place. i resort and its suroundings are inhabited by people who make a living on tourists distracted by the beach

im really not pumped about discribing what a rape tree is, but if you want to know.....

when families in mexico dont have enough money, its almost common practice to sell the youngest girl in the family into slavery. when crossing into the country if you dont have the money to pay the coyote, your daughter gets raped. well it happens so much in mexico that there are trees full of torn panties hanging from the trees. thats why you see them near the border, just out of sight of the American side. that may not be the only reason people get raped, just the most logical explanation

mexico is not a nice place, no matter how many nice people you met at the resort

people dont get sold int slavery in amsterdam(if there prostitutes they sell them selves, and have their rights at the end of the day)

you never hear about the drug lord of amsterdam

no one ever gets sick from drinking amsterdam water

people dont get their organs harvested in amsterdam(ive never heard of at least)

Weed prices in Amsterdam are as expensive as in America. You know they are "soaking" the tourists in Amsterdam. EVERY single vacation area in the world soaks tourists...that is what they do.

In Cozumel, MX their idea of soaking the tourists...costs less than many other nation's idea of soaking tourists.

And YOU ARE ON A SMALL ISLAND IN THE CARIBBEAN.

I would like to visit Amsterdam...the weed would be better and the selection amazing...maybe I will sometime...but I'd probably have more fun going to either Cozumel or another Caribbean island.

and as far as organ harvesting n shiite...that has happened in just about every country on Earth...it's not the "norm" anywhere. Really you should visit Cozumel...I never felt liek I was in any danger whatsoever. I went with a buddy the first time...went by myself the second time and had 3x as much fun the 2nd time as I did on the first.

From what I've read It's only been decriminalized for personal use up to 5g's. I didn't read anything on the cultivation or selling of it, wich in my eye's would make mexico and amsterdam two completely different area's for decriminalized marijuana. I'd much rather go to a place where it is freely sold, cultivated and smoked rather than a place allowing you to hold up to 5g's. I mean even where I live if I get caught with under a Oz i just get a nice little slap on the wrist.

I've gone to Mexico and Amsterdam once a year for the last 7 years or so and love them both. Here's my breakdown:

Mexico
1. Cheap - the exchange rate is VERY friendly.
2. Weed everywhere, but the quality is hit and miss.
3. The people are extremely friendly (especially if you speak Spanish)
4. Mexico is safe in the touristy areas. I go to Ixtapa and Nuevo Vallarta (west coast) and all over the Mayan Riviera (east coast) and have always felt safe. The only danger was crossing major streets - people WILL run you over.
5. Weather - it's beautiful

Amsterdam
1. EXPENSIVE - our dollar is weak right now and regardless, Amsterdam is an expensive city.
2. The weed is obviously the best
3. The people are friendly
4. It's safe
5. Weather - not too great. Cloudy and gloomy most of the time.

To wrap it up, if money's a factor, go to Mexico. Otherwise, the comparison is apples to oranges. Mexico is tropical, but Amsterdam is one of Europe's best cities. Amsterdam will seem more foreign than Mexico will, but I seriously LOVE both. If I could only go to one place every year, I wouldn't know what to choose. I go to Amsterdam because I simply love Europe, in any weather. I go to Mexico for sun and beach and weed and margaritas and beer and relaxation. Amsterdam is a lot more effort. Mexico is easy. My 2 cents...

The fact that mexico is seedy and somewhat dangerous is what makes it fun for me. The ocasional guy wanting you to follow him down a dark alley in the middle of the night to "show you something". How cool is that!!!!!!!

Ive been to Mexico city 4 times and little towns outside of the city..

Mexico city isnt a tourist town..

They would hate me in Mexico. I'm Mexican/Italian and I don't speak Spanish :oops:

The Grand Mayan. It's beautiful.

Ixtapa is my favorite town. It's old name is Zihuatanejo, the town mentioned in Shawshank Redemption. Absolutely gorgeous.

My buddy and his wife stayed there i think.
Back in the spring i stayed at Paradise Village

Love that movie..

Man I have been to Mexico 5 out of the last 7 Decembers, I go cause my sister is married to a Mexican, I'm siciclian and let me say mexican are as close to Italians as anyone else, it was beautiful were I went " michoacan " we stayed in " Morelia ",
that was absolutely gorgeous, we got 1 pound of some really good sativa? And it was some good shit, u can smoke a fatty and go eat some authentic Mexican food, people are so nice over there, and the funny part is that I was in the " capital of the Mexican mafia, and I never saw anything like u guys say, rapping trees? Sewers? Get the fuck out of here! I have dozens of pictures to show ya how beautiful it is, I have never been to amsterdamn but that's in my wish list,

It doesn't matter were u go man as long as u have some bud u will be good,
Can't wait to go back this December! I left like 11 ounces back in Mexico , hopefully it's not all moldy
