You mean around here, as in RIU, or around southern Illinois?

I'm moving to Canada if McCain's elected, or Obama assasinated.

Dunno if you consider it Midwest or not, but Montana has medical marijuana... not that anyone lives there.

Here in IL the democrats keep voting YES on medical Marijuana, and the Republicans keep voting NO. Since the repubs control the IL congress, MMJ won't get passed untill the Dems are in control. (I know, they all suck, some just suck a teeny, tiny bit less than others).

I guess that means a vote for any republican is a vote against medical marijuana.
Republicans control nothing right now in IL. The state is too protectionist from both parties to allow MMJ. Daley would cry about how it would create crime in the city. I'd love to see MMJ in IL but I think the best hope is to get MMJ passed this year in Michigan. Its only a few hours away.

You are aware that there is a whole state south of Chicago? It doesn't have shit to do with Daley, it's the Dems voting for and the repubs voting against in Illinois

Only one Republican, Sen. Dave Syverson, R-Rockford, voted for the bill, while 21 of the 37 Democrats voted for it.

---> here is the whole article for you to read ASA : Illinois Senate votes down medical marijuana bill

From the article:
"Only one Republican, Sen. Dave Syverson, R-Rockford, voted for the bill, while 21 of the 37 Democrats voted for it. "

Barely 50% of the Dems voted for the bill. If they could unite like the Republicans did the bill would pass.

Does anyone know how often a bill can be re-visited? that article was way back from may of 2007, can we see the bill again soon?

It's up for vote again this year, it keeps being presented, pretty soon they'll wear down.

I guess you didn't notice that the republicans are united AGAINST medical marijuana.

If only 1 republican is for passing the bill how are more republicans going to make it anything but worse? At least more then half of the democrats voted in favor. That's like saying if you own more cats you'll be considered a dog person :wall:.

I'll still grow and smoke my own.

I'm awaiting Federal Laws on MMJ, and dispensaries/grow coops.

-If MMJ comes around, I'm going to the loan office and requesting a loan to purchase a greenhouse asap.

Until then, I'm just a small time grower... Not as small as most, but definately not greenhouse material.

If we get MMJ passed I want to go to cannibas college and get a cannibas diploma so I can grow and maybe open my own dispensary, or at least grown and sell to them.

I've wanted a greenhouse for my whole life and I just started growing weed this year.
