Miricle Grow Garden Feeder and Drip System?

[TD]I use a drip tape irrigation in my garden, and was wondering if anyone has ever used a Miracle Grow Garden Feeder as an in-line fertilizer with their drip system. The spray nozzle on the Garden Feeder screws off and will accept a standard hose coupling, so I believe it will integrate smoothly. Has any one done this what fertilizer did you use? i seen someone using this on there tomato garden using some kind blue liquid looked like Windex the pants looked ok

few concerns i see is there is no way to monitor feed of nutes or ph and the fert may gum up up the lines..[/TD]

I've done it.... but you have to make sure the feeder is level

Just dont use MG nutes in it.

any one know of some good nutes i can use in this that wont change the ph.. I think that's the main thing

Check out General Organics they have a boxed kit with everything you need from veg to flower.

Your plants are dealing with it, I assure you MGs not the way to go.

I’ve done side by side comparisons, MG leaves behind unused nutrients and unwanted chemicals.

We'll see, but i was using age old growth before and they did ok but i switched to miracle grow and they went crazy. It may not be the best but im definetly happy with it so far. And as far as left over nutes isnt that why your supposed to flush them the last week or so? Also when they start to flower im gonna use terra flora so im sure by harvest all the mg nutes should be gone.

There are many reason why some flush the last few weeks of growth. The nute and chemical build up I’m talking about results in salt deposits limiting the plants growth. Salt build ups can occor much before flowering and MG has reputation for causeing it.

Miracle Gro works great for flowers or veggies but not with Cannabis. I would suggest you make a tea to put into your drip.

Ohh ok that makes since. I forgot to mention im only using half a bag of mg per feeding instead of the full bag that is reccommended on the package. Maybe thats why my plants seem to do pretty good with it

I would go with kaendar on this, just make a tea. Cheap, large quantitys can be made and its organic!

Wait wait? Is it a slow drip? Compost tea is only good an hour or so after its aerated or it will smell like shit. Aerobic smells like earthy Lipton. The longer it sits the more it starts to stink. I just gave my experiment plant a half dose of miracle grow on Monday. If you're going synthetic chemical there's not a whole lotta difference fox farms and miracle grow. 2 week flush min. This opinion may or may not change come November. (Gotta give time for a good cure!)

Im using a black plastic drip line.... where the plants are i poked some extra holes so i would have more water flow than just the drip... the holes aren't very big there about a 1/16" just enough for a small stream to spit out and water nicely..

Yea dude just add some natural composted ferts to your water. What you wanna do is let the ingredients which would usually be composted manure and stuff like that sit in a bin of water for like a day with a fish tank air stone on the bottom. After that the water will have alot of the nutrients in it.

Compost tea will go anaerobic in that system waiting to get tripped. That's not good.

You can try it and let us know how it goes next year. I'm sure you'll finish, but I wouldn't do it.

Now if you have a resevoir constantly bubbling and you can link that up to your drip system, that could work wonderfully but then again you're asking about the Garden Feeder attachment so I'm not exactly contributing to your question.

I would not suggest compost tea for that kind of system.

Is this drip system gravity fed or is it hooked up to a tap? If it's gravity, how much elevation is there between you water source and the plants?

I've been interested in creating a reliable gravity fed, automatic irrigation system and still have not felt the confidence. My worries range from clogged drippers, insufficient timers, and lack of pressure to create consistency/uniformity throughout the system.
