Monster Cropping attempt 1

I was regretting not grabbing some clones off my two strongest Lilac Diesel RBX2 girls before flowering so I figured it would be a good chance to finally try monster cropping.

Went ahead and took two clones from each of my two strongest... if even one survives it will be worth it.

Didn't do that much research on it...just took clones like I normally would and left the top node intact. My setup is pretty simple. Cheap humidity done with vents on top... drip irrigation running from a cool mist humidifier into the dome and it's controlled by an inkbird humdistat. Biobizz light mix for the soil and CloneX.

Will post on here if/when each one dies off, able to maintain 85F and 75RH pretty consistently so they might make it.

At what point do you remove the old bud or do you just leave it indefinitely?
Leave it, thats where the new branches will sprout from. Same with a reveg, you have to leave some buds because thats where you will get new growth from after the plant reverts to veg mode. Sometimes you get a whole shit load of branches out of a nug the size of a nickel, other times you just get two or three branches. When monster cropping I like to cut like twice the number of cuts to root so I can pick the best ones after they are rooted and revegged some. Take the ones with the most branches and best reveg and toss the rest lol.

Thanks for the solid advice! I only NEED one to live so I don't lose the genetics so I took 4. That's cool about new growth coming out of the buds, makes sense but I guess I never thought it through.

Well, I thought they were dying off after some heat issues earlier this week but it looks like all 4 clones are recovering. I need to trim off the dead leaves still.

Yea two nodes in soil the bottom one is cut 45 with a razor. Mykos mixed into the top ~1" of soil and lightly top dressed. Used clonex on the cuttings themselves.

8 days in and all 4 are alive. The back right one definitely looks the worst but otherwise the leaves are still greenish and sorta perky (those that are left)

How's it going?
Well they were alive for awhile, 3/4 of them reverted back to veg. Unfortunately I finished that round of flowering and decided I didn't really want to keep the genetics anyways so I tossed one in my compost bin and gave two away (I was super short on space).
