Hey everyone, Figured it was time I made a thread.. so here we go.
Thanks to all the people who helped me pick out lights etc: chronicool, psu, franjan, flora and anyone else.

The grow

Some Basic Specs

  • Medical Grow -- limit is 6 plants, 3 veg 3 flower
  • 6 Plant Perpetual grow, at all times there are:
    • 3 Veg and 3 Flower
    • Every 25-30 days one flowering plant is finished and a new veg plant is placed in the flower tent
    • At this same time a clone is taken from one veg plant

Tents
  • Veg tent 4x4
  • Flower tent 4x4
  • Veg tent is connected to the flower tent
  • Flower tent is connected to a 400cfm 6inch fan with speed controller(very lowest setting) connected to carbon filter
  • Fan Pulls air thru both tents and kills smell very well

Lights
  • 3 Hans panels in flowering tent, one per plant roughly
  • 1 Hans panel in veg tent, covers 3 plants at different stages

Strains
  • First round was bagseed, schwaggy -- and I've recently discovered that it produces some male flowers in later flowering and will make some seeds
  • Recently got cuttings of High CBD Strain -- Harlequin
  • All 6 plants will become Harlequin -- currently 2 of the first plant left in flowering

Technique
  • Experimenting a lot at the moment, been mostly topping and creating bushes, But latly it seems that the stem size is directly connected to bud size. So I might go for fewer tops with bigger stems

Ferts / Grow medium
  • Jacks classing 20-20-20 for veg and early flower
  • Jacks blossom booster 10-30-20 for flowering
  • Growing in mixup of peat moss, perilite, compost, some soil.. some happy frog, some pro-mix HP
  • Feeding currently every watering with way more than recommended (experiencing no nute burn at all).. Going to try and start feeding every other watering and see how that does maybe.

I made a little grow management system for myself to track stuff :D
Green means done, Red means plant killed (because I got the new clones), white is in progress

Here are some current pics.. currently night for the plants though

Here are some older pics

My harddrive recently currupted, so I dont have many pics from plant 2-3.
But I'll get new pics from 5 and 6 which are currently flowering, tonight.

Once the smaller clone gets a little bigger and gets root bound in the little pot, I'm going transplant into 3ish gallon and throw it into the 12/12 tent.
The other clone will be used to make more clones as soon as it can.

Anyone interested in Harlequin or CBD strains, here's some info about it..

Harlequin
Clone only strain, thought of as a genetic throwback (both parents are high thc strains).
Hybrid - 75% Sativa, 25% Indica
Low THC content – 2-5%
High CBD content – 5-10%

Also, interesting thing about this genotype -- In veg the leaves of Harlequin test at approx 4% CBD and 2% THC.

More info on CBD - http://beyondchronic.com/2010/12/old-hippie-definitive-guide-cbd-medical-marijuana/

Harlequin is clones only , but you can get harle-tsu seeds, they sell them at sparc in San Francisco, strain is Harlequin x tsunami, which has a better flavor profile and higher CBD content. Just a little info, you can also get clones of the same strain at Harborside in Oakland. Nice looking grow man, best of luck!

Do your plant's a favor get you some roots organics 5ml master pack to try out. You won't regret it.

Looking good brother. What's the most you've pulled off one of those panels? How is the lower bud? Is it getting enough penetration?

I really want to see the PAR readings on one of those panels.

Heres my yields so far, for a frame of reference
1st plant ever, HPS light, yield 31 grams... but learned TONS
2nd, Hans panel, yield 82 grams
3rd, Hans panel, yield 52 grams (this plant fell and landed upside down at like day 55 of 12/12... it was not happy.. not happy at all )

I'm still learning so potential yield is probably much higher

That's pretty good.

Try Root's organic 5ml master pack it's like $40-50 buck's depending on where you get it. Your bud will taste great and you'll get more yield. I got a half once off a 9" tall auto using roots. It was pulled two weeks early still wieghed 14g's and was straight fire. If I could have let it finish it probably would have been an 3/4 to an ounce off a 9" plant.

I can't wait till I can start again in a couple week's. It's been far to long.

Hey, I'm willing to try it--how many grows will a master pack last?

I ran one cycle and could barely tell I used any. Your size grow I'd say 3 to 4 cycle's at least maybe more. If you decide you like it HTGsupply sell's a bigger size pack minus the oregeonismXL for $99.00 but there out of stock right now.

Have you been using mycorrhizae?

Don't forget the Hygrozyme. It's the shit.

Hey, another update with some more pics

Here's where I'm at overall

Here is the veg tent with the 2 new harlequins
BTW: hans panel absolutely kicks ass at veg too
going to put one of them in the flower tent in possibly a week or more/less because I want to get that going as soon as possible.
Should I just throw one in flower now??

Here is the flower tent.
One hans panel is currently not in use.
I gave one plant an extra 20 days or so to see how many amber trichs it would give and by doing that I messed the rotation up a little.
The plant on the left has had to be tied to the pot many times.. it is falling over due to the buds constantly.. I did no lower trimming on this plant.. and it shows

Overall, im going to be revamping my feeding routine.. I have been feeding tons every watering and experienced no nute burn.. but maybe they are getting sorta locked out of nutrients, or dont have any rest.
I tried watering the newest flowering plant with just water this last week.. and it perked up way more than normal... I may have been doing bad by constant feeding.. anyone know if this might be the case?

I would aerate the soil. And I wouldn't give it anything but water and some bennies if you have any. That's some serious clawing in my book. Poor little "Claw-dine" :(. Let me ask you MP are those plants tall for Han's panels? Is there enough light coverage for your grow? Those plants look very dense. And what size buckets are those?

And maybe some flash photos so we can get a better idea of what's going on. It's probably root related. Good Luck MP.

I'm going to guess the pots are 4-5 Gal. I have some pots that are around 1/2 size of them and I know they are 2.5 gal.
The hans panels seem to be able to cover 2x2 area just fine...Plus there are 3 panels usually going so that bonus light helps.

Im guessing "Bennies" is beneficial bacteria?
I will definitly try just water for a while.
The soil already has some myco in it. Is there some other stuff you would recomend me getting? thanks

Lol I was thinking the same thing about hyroot. And hyroot your dumb. Situation said the trichomes attract pollinators with their smells and tastes to insects that carry pollen called pollinators. I even looked at the article on pollination he posted for you and it says the same thing. I'm not about arguing but when I see people saying others are wrong I like too look into it and understand both sides of the story myself. I've been reading a lot of situations posts and he seems to know wtf he's talkin about and usually explains why he thinks something and explains it rather than just stating random facts like you.
