How would these plants do if you had a panel 90 degree to the side while another ontop. You could then get pretty much %100 light penetration. Less plants needed for the same yield size.

Would definitely help a little bit.. but that panel on the side would do much better on the top of another plant :blsmoke:

Update: Cut the big bagseed down, this is going to be one big yield..

larger update coming soon

Tons of pics... enjoy :leaf:

Days in 12/12 was 72.
The buds were all very dense this time--much better

Plant on the right went in 12/12 today--had around 30 day of veg

quin 1, All of the colas are hanging, the plant can no longer support them

These Images are all of quin 2.
enhance.. enhance.. enhance

These buds are so dense and heavy that they must be supported.. its amazing.
Next week will be harv time!
Ideal time to harvest this strain for CBD% is 60 days.

Hey guys, need some advice here before it's too late pls. D:

So I currently do not have a rooted plant in veg.
I have 3 cuttings that are trying to root, all look super healthy but its getting to be 30 days for one, and 18 days another and no real definitive sign of growth. I took one last cutting from a 9 day flowering plant using my normal method of cloning.

-Basically I was trying a new suggested cloning method that someone swears by, which turned out to be a really bad idea for me. (the new method I was trying is where you basically just stick the cutting in the dirt of a watered pot and make sure 3/4 of the stem is underground so that osmosis happens. I thought it was going great, as there was no wilt or anything, no discoloration... but still no roots.. not that I could see them though)
-Usually I get 100% success with roots comin out at 14 days or (much) less with my method, but was interested in this. (my old method is great, take cuttings, put in peat pellets, put in homemade dome, turn air pump on which connects to an air stone in a glass of water releasing humidity)

So I'm worried that none will root and then I no longer have the strain.

Probably just over reacting.. but heres some options i thought of
-I have two of this plant currently flowering, one is only 11 days... It does have little buds already shooting out. I could take this out of the tent and put in 24 hour lighting untill I root another of the plant.
-I could ride it out and hope one of them roots, even if its the slightly flowr
-I could dig up the 2 clones that are sitting in pots and transfer them to peat pellets in the humidity dome.. but that might cause some heavy stress? maybe not..

Any suggestions? ;-)

will post pics later if it helps
Thx!!

I clone in soil. I dip cuttings in fresh aloe Vera gel or aloe vera powder . Roots in 8-15 days depending on strain. A foliar spray with aloe /kelp mix speeds up rooting too. I mix worm castings and compost in soil too. Water it with coconut water and aloe or a compost tea. I put aloe in my teas too. Sticking cuttings in straight soil without anything works. It takes 30+ days to root.

datepalm trees. They cut off 6 foot shoots and stick them in the ground /dirt 2 feet deep and water them with a ton of well water. They take 4 years to root. 20 years to produce dates.

just be patient . Or dig up your other ones

the buds look dank.

Forgot to mention, i use Schultz rooting powder.. i do a 90 degree cut on the end of the stem.. and slightly scrap the lower stem with a razor.

Are the cuttings under a dome or Ziploc bag or something? They do need humidity for faster rooting.

The clones that are trying the new method do not get misted or put in humidity dome. They take up all their water from the soil in pot.
The pot gets watered completely before you take the clone initially.
Then when the pot is very light and there is basically no water left, refill it up.

The person that gave me the strain used this method with the clones he gave me, and they showed growth in like 15 days.. was a bigger pot though.

Definitely not comfortable with the method although they look great for sitting there 30 days.. just no growth D:

I do mine in party cups. I place party cups in a tray and dome. Pour a little water in the tray too to create humidity. If I run out of room in the tray. I place Ziploc bags over the cups and tie a string around the bag and cup for the first few days. I've seen other people root in larger pots with good success. But they put bags over the pots too.

Should I just move the pots into the humidity dome ?
They need water today.. have not been watered in like 9 days maybe, so I could either water them again, or place in humid dome.. or transplant the clones to peat pellets.. many options

Ill post a couple pictures in a bit of both the clones and the humid tent.

thx man

If keeping in soil water a little if needed and move into dome. If you feel more comfortable doing your method. Then go for it. What ever floats your boat.

I have been getting great results recently with using this method but I leave the ziploc on for a week, then I punch a hole in it for another few days and tada!! very good success rate with this method... I use 8-16oz of promix, root hormone and water.

textual update first.. =D Ill get some pics comin'

Cloning Situation
So last update, I was having trouble cloning with the soil method.. so I took 4 emergency flowering clones.
-I had Roots on all 4 new flowering clones within 14 days (I will expect like 10-11 day roots with heatmat) Im hoping for some crazy branchy plants

New/Updated cloning environment.
-Peat Pellets
-Heat mat (gettin into fall/winter -- this helps ALOT)
-Glass with water
-Pump with airstone in glass
-humidity dome (made out of 2 large salad containers)

I was trying the clone into soil method and will never do that again D:
-At 25 days one rooted, and 30 days the other did (I broke the roots checking though).
-Broke one plants roots accidently, and recut the clone and put into peat. I basically cut of a bunch and shaved off all of the outer stem.. It is about 50 days old now, but I think it will root again LOL
-Other plant has been growing successfully

I also started up a R4 seed I found.. the world renown CBD plant. (still no telling what this will produce)
-It seems to have been born with a weird leaf condition
-Leaves look diseased/mutated/deficient - something weird
-Can this plant possibly outgrow the condition If I want to keep it alive?

New Fertz
I am starting to feed with Vegan Mix from Down to Earth.
Going to see how it goes... I will just be dressing the top of the soil every now and then with a few TSPs
Jacks classic has been amazing in all aspects.. smoke, taste, growth.. but Im just interested to see what this Vegan organic can do.. and how healthy the plant is

And I have 2 flowering plants with about 20 days left..
they are looking really good. This run im using smaller pots, 2.5Gal, but the plants are bigger than before.

Got a few new chips that I will try out in my broken 30w flood lights

This is the cloning dome made with 2 salad containers, and a glass of water with an airstone in it. It also sits on a heat mat due to fall/winter.

Here is the Vegan Mix before and after coffee grinder.. ground up the chunks(of azamite?) and turned the mix into a brownish powder.. =D

On the left is the harle, right is the r4..
These 2 strains node spacing is crazy different.. both are relatively same age. Harle has pretty far spacing, r4 has very tight.
I've been wondering if the hans red added a little stretch in veg.. but it is just a strain specific quality after all.

Love the coffee grinder idea^^^^ your basically making the RX fert but at a third of the cost with that vegan mix and making it very water soluble!====quicker results

Those 4 blue xt-e in the hans should keep the stretch in check even in flower mode..........it's definitely genetics Multi, no worries.

yo, time for an update

Got some Cree XPE chips and drivers and put them in chinese flood lights.
Looks like a pretty good build.

Applied a little bit of Arctic Silver thermal compound

I took off the reflectors as there was some light going under.. But I might use a CFL Clamp reflector.

Depending on how hot these get, I might take off that tape.. doesn't really need to be there
So far the passive cooling is working well

Very bright and high quality color.. looks same as my hans

2 are flowering right now

I caught what i think is a magnesium deficiency before it was too late. On the bigger plant on the left, the leaves went from dark green to fading yellow over the course of 3-4 days. I fed with magnesium same day and I think it stopped the deficiency. On my other plant(who is 7 days younger), I fed mg when I saw this happen and she is still fine.

I threw the warm white XPE into the tent.
Best thing about these floods are how easy they can be adjusted to fit your grow =D

I really need to super crop these plants next time.. very stretchy sativas

The warm white adds some interesting color to the tent.. much better =D

I topped the harle and took a clone. hopefully some quick roots this time using the new method

The smallest one in the pot was a flowering clone and has been growing non stop.
All of its leaves are completely full of resin
I was under the impression that it wouldn't grow vertically while it was transitioning from flowering to vegging, but really it started growing right after root

Peace :blsmoke:

Did you useing the same compound adhesive to mount the cfl reflector? Just curious. I like the idea. Good work.
