CFL reflector wasn't yet mounted, I have a few more of them I'm considering as well--some have much wider angles then the one in the pics.Did you useing the same compound adhesive to mount the cfl reflector? Just curious. I like the idea. Good work.
But I will probably attach it with some wire first, just to make sure all is good.

After running the XPEs for hours, I can say that they don't really get that hot as long as there is some air movement around the flood light. The flood body does a good job of absorbing heat and dissipating. The Driver does not really seem to get hot.. The flood driver case doesn't get warm.
Using a computer heatsink would be the absolute best bet. A nice cheap $10 dollar one would easily cool more than enough... Plus it comes with a fan.
Hanging and positioning the heatsink would be the challenge, as well as positioning/mounting the driver.
Also drilling holes to mount the PCB could be difficult (anyone know if a $20 amazon drill could handle this).
I guess thats the benefit of the floods, everything fits nicely into a case, only 1 cord coming out. I've been looking for some empty LED bodies, but no luck yet.
I'm officially addicted to LEDs.. lol
