fucking foolish

marijuana is a very strong drug.

omegafarmer, get an education instead of regurgitating your ignorance.
if you accept that definition that a drug is a substance that has an effect on you , any substance that has an effect on you, then you are going to need a prescription for vitamin C someday very soon. if that is the accepted definition then EVERYTHING IS A DRUG, and you play right into the hands of 'codex alimentarius' the 'international drug cartels' and the 'New World Order,' and you deserve to be a slave and die before your time and be sick all the time that you have left. check this out video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-8674401787208020885&ei=TjOvSOv6B5q2_AHat5GDDQ&q=in+lies+we+trust&hl=en

if you are making a living of this concept that you have a vested interest in the lies

preaching is not the same as educating and shredding lies from power
Sorry didnt read this whole thread but yes it is a drug dumbass..

A drug, broadly speaking, is any chemical substance that, when absorbed into the body of a living organism, alters normal bodily function

you may not want to think its a drug because of what the government has made drugs to be..but lots of things are drugs..even tobacco and coffe

ok right, i read up 2 page 3 an thought id just reply.

1st of all, weed is a drug. whether it be a good one or a bad one. aspirin is a drug, a good one or a bad one. i personally can take aspirin an it will help my headache or whatever, where as my girl friend cannot take it, she is allergic to it and it can kill her. she has to have a band on whenever she goes to the hospital to say she cannot be givin that kind of drug, so for her, its a bad drug, whether it be legal or not.

theres no right or wrong in what any1 is saying.

anyway, looks like ur a bit paranoid that ur girl is gonna party better on booze, have a good time, an probably get assed rapped by some random college dudes. if i was u i would just tell her that ur paranoid about it, explain to her the effects of weed and booze.

also teach her how to drink and smoke at the same time, its quite a buzz when ur drunk and stoned!

i was supposed to add a few things to the above sentances but i completely forgot bongsmiliebongsmilie :eyesmoke::eyesmoke:

Well, you can overdose on aspirin as well and kill yourself if you're allergic or not. Worst case with Marijuana is you'll panic or something, maybe go to the hospital, maybe fall asleep, but not die. Alcohol on the other hand, you can drink too much, get alcohol poisoning and die. Alcohol can also lead to violence. Either one of these legal drugs can result in death if overdone, however with Marijuana, death will not happen. That should be reason enough to take Marijuana over alcohol.

Yes to us marijuana smokers that makes all the sence in the world..but to others, society has criminalized marijuana and these people see it as this horrible drug and alcohol totally fine

LMAO....
First you get stoned and show her a great, fun time, then get really drunk and beat the shit out of her. Maybe she'll get the message.
Good for you.You saved yourself a lot of heartburn.
I stopped reading all of this after the beginning of the third page...

I figured out what to do on my own there was no valuable advice given here except for "you can't changer her, so let her be her." or something along those lines. I had a talk with her today and explained that I hated alcohol with a passion but apologized for asking her to do drugs instead...I suppose she isn't meant for either. it was mentioned that some people can use marijuana, alcohol or other drugs and lead a normal civilized life. others cannot. my girlfriend is one of the people that cannot and I've accepted that.

1. Pharmacology. a chemical substance used in the treatment, cure, prevention, or diagnosis of disease or used to otherwise enhance physical or mental well-being 2. (in federal law) a. any substance recognized in the official pharmacopoeia or formulary of the nation. b. any substance intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease in humans or other animals. c. any article, other than food, intended to affect the structure or any function of the body of humans or other animals. d. any substance intended for use as a component of such a drug, but not a device or a part of a device. Taken from DrugsI - Definitions from Dictionary.com trust that Omega Farmer will find these definitions as impartial to either side of this issue. Marijuana is a drug... It is recreational and even though, as a nurse I am on the side of whomever is willing to bite the bullet and admit that marijuana is a drug... Those soldiers of the anti-anti drug war are engaging in friendly fire against your allies over semantics. None of us should be squabbling over what word we should use to categorize such a wonderful plant. To the original poster, I have to agree with one of the other repliers who commented that it seems like you are preaching to your girlfriend. I tried the brain spinach, in earnest, for the first time about a month (or so) ago and I am now a devout fan of it and my girlfriend is just the opposite... She comes from a very conservative filipino family and has been conditioned to think that the slightest high will turn me into some drug-enraged, cockacidal maniac. The best thing I could do is be the best person that one could possibly be while high and I did so around her! I didn't press or force an idea on her... I just showed her that her fears didn't really apply to me. We talked about the things we normally talk about and did the things we normally do together, laughing and joking as per usual...Hell she may even begin to see this stuff the way I do! Even if she doesn't, she will still respect my desire to enjoy this without causing any pain or anguishWhile your situation only vaguely resembles mine, I think the approach is generally the same... Whatever path you choose to follow in reconciling this with your girlfriend, please remember that she is your 'Significant Other' and that tenderness and understanding in your approach is better than anything harsh. I am not saying to roll over and be untrue to yourself, but there is always the option of telling her how you feel and trusting that she can respect your opinion.Good Luck!

Aww... I was dropping pearls of wisdom and you probably won't see it... but it seems that you had pretty much come to the wisest decision. I am glad to hear that you have apologized for being rash to beginwith and I wish you both the best of luckHackel

Who is omegafarmer, and what is his evidence stating that mj isn't a drug?

it creates an alteration in bodily function, a deviation from normal, that can be clinically tested, both objectively and subjectively.

that's my definition of a drug. and it sure sounds like mj to me.
