great grow so far nb! scribed, and got here just in time for 12/12! I gotta 600w hps bloom room too! looking great so far, hope you get rid of those pests? if you get a chance can you shoot a pic of your diy carbon filter, or describe it? looking great though! must be getting cold in nor cal, im in so cal and its gonna be cold and rainy this weekend!
haha it's really not much to see. I have the same intake fan as my exhaust fan exhausting the heat from my light and then I just got some carbon filter replacements and wrapped it around my exhaust fan. I'm not too worried about smell since it's being exhausted back under my house to where no one would smell anything.

but yea it's starting to get chilly. had to add a little heater on a timer to keep temps up during the day cuz they were dropping to 58 F. I welcome the rain tho cuz if we get rain here, that means Tahoe's getting snow

&& to Reaver: yep, I'm finishing in those 1.5's. probably could've gone with the 3 gal square containers, but 1.5 gal gets them to just about the perfect size, and I could also fit 4 more in my room so potentially 16 total

haha yea I did have another thread but I had made it in the Indoor forum so I decided to make another in the Grow Journals forum since it was a little more appropriate and just in time for the fun part- bloom :-)

giving them a good watering tonight with 6.4 pH water that's being aerated right now. temps when lights were out were about 66 F with the little heater going on for a half hour every hour since it snowed about 8 inches here last night. I'm running the heater with lights on too jsut not as often and temps are staying around 78 F

they've been in 12/12 for almost two weeks but I'm not counting the first week so it'll be 1 week in bloom on wednesday. I'll post some pictures then.

I just got a new blackberry but the camera on it doesnt work too well with my hps so I gotta find my digital somewhere and I'll take some good ones

thanks man. that outdoor was quite the experience but I think this indoor will produce a little better quality now that I kinda know what I'm doing haha :dunce: ;-)

*UPDATE*
today is 1 week in bloom. everything seems to be going fine and bud sites producing nicely. I don't know if I should trim the lower growth on some of the main branches tho since I already trimmed up pretty high but there are still some bottom shoots off the main branches and I just really don't know if they'd be worth growing out or not. in the first picture I'm holding one of the little shoots that is pending being chopped. advice is appreciated on the subject bongsmilie :peace:

Don't Trim Any More Branches.... That looks Ace, :D

Sun Leaves will probably slowly not be as necessary in those lower parts ;) ..... but you know when to take them right? If your gunna get about a gram out of the branch..... keep it..... taking them, or a especially a number of them, as you get further along into flowering could cause stunting...... you look golden where you are now.... props bro :D

thanks fellas :bigjoint: I'm happy with the way things are chuggin' along.

but I do not know when to take the sun leaves or even which leaves those are.. :dunce:
please elaborate Loaded :eyesmoke:

*EDIT: and what do you think about the height of my hood over the canopy? too high or it look alright?

not time yet..... couple more weeks before you start getting into that..... but I would lower your light some...... maybe about 8-10" its hard to say, but the picture I edited shows the difference in where your light reflection (or canopy spread) mark is, and where I would have it....

thanks for that visual man. 8-10" above the canopy is where it should be or bring the hood down 8-10"? I think it's about 18 " right now..

I would move it down 6 inches...... then move it up 2 inches at a time as the plants grow..... maybe once every week and a half or two (as they shouldn't stretch too much more at all) looks like they already stretched some, and looks like the bottom trimming stunted the stretch to keep growth compact (good thing ;) ), the stretch serves the purpose of opening the canopy up a little bit to allow for great light penetration into the depths of the plant and to its lower sites, where sun leaves and in flower leaves collect light producing more energy for bud development in those areas....... Like I said you are looking Ace! :D Keep it up!

Always reassuring to hear that it looks like it's going well from a vet grower :bigjoint:

I probably could've vegged a little longer but I wasn't sure how tall they'd stretch and my hood is almost as high as it can go right now. oh well tho. I'm just happy I pulled these clones back around after those mites hit. saw a couple mites on a few plants this morning but only on the most bottom fan leaves so I just removed those leaves then sprayed the undersides of all the plants with neem. didnt really want to use neem since they're blooming now but it's only been a week so hopefully they don't come back... :finger: :wall:

something's up with my blueberry and sweet tooth that I'm trying to mother tho... I don't know if the lights were too close or what but the tops are all discolored and looks like some rust spots on the leaves...nute burn? I always give them 6.4 ph'd water... :-(

They dislike cold water more then warm water, in my opinion..

Cant believe I missed this thread. its a goodie. I'll be watching that SSH for sure.

When lowering your light, lower it as much as possible as long as the outer plants dont get a lack of light... Lower hoods are better but I prefer a nice even distribution of light rather then super strong penetration just on the plants placed in the middle.

The Blueberry mother I suggest adding some Epsom salt too if you're seeing rust spots and discoloration. It may have been to close to the light but if I were you I would get some epsom salt @ 1 table spoon per gallon and feed like that just a couple times.

Keep up the great work! That canopy is very pretty!
