Nice!Tums. Pure calcium carbonate. They do NOT dissolve easily in water. Don't sweat that. Blend one up in some water and use it. The little pieces just act like time released.

If you add dolomite and continue using nutrients for organically active soil, I would treat it as soil and water at 6.5. (I don't ph my nutrients for soil. But, you're lacking some soil'y characteristics. You're trying to do soil in soilless and may adjust more to what you pour in. I would ph. But, do 6.5 like it's soil.).
If you create a more soil'y medium like I do, I would ph your nutrients then too. Get things working then try stepping away from ph. (You might have to step away from calmag first, but you should do that separately too. Calmag acidified my nutrient mix. Not sure it's compatible with going ph'less.).
I didn't realize you were going to switch to Grow More Sea Grow in this grow. I thought you were considering it for the next one. (I'm still worried about organic'ish nutrient sources playing badly with a soilless medium. But, I'm glad you've got it under control. Maybe it was just insufficient dolomite.).PH is staying much more stable now after adding dolomite lime and switching to Grow More nutes and letting them dry in between! I cut the cal mag out and my nutrient mix came out in perfect range!
Yeah I'm mixing my r/o water with tap to 150 ppm like you suggest. And yes I just wanted to get away from fox farms. My buddy had the exact same problem so I switched . I'm just gonna watch my runoff ppm and do like you suggested. Seems to be working well so far.I didn't realize you were going to switch to Grow More Sea Grow in this grow. It will be interesting if you notice a smoother/richer/deeper taste than what you're accustomed to. I grew with hydro (all synthetic) nutrients and myself and friends noticed a distinct taste difference with Grow More Sea Grow.
I forget, are you using RO, tap (or mixing them to get a reasonable starting ppm?). If using RO without a "calmag" product, you might have deficiencies at some point. If so, you might try mixing tap. My experience was like yours: when I stopped using calmag, life got simpler (less reason to ph-up, less unwanted salts getting into the soil.).
We should start a Grow More Sea Grow thread in the nutrient forum. Or, use @TedeBoy 's thread.
OK I will check that out. I'm using 7 gallon smart pots with Pro Mix they take about 5 days to dry to the point of needing water. They do look dry but I think that was just from the lockout. We shall see. Everything seems to be better for now. And your saying not to add more lime?tmartin - might want to make sure you are watering in time, like i said before it looks a little like some moisture stress from underwatering - that shit probably dries out almost every day in those fabric pots. I learned quickly that even if you are feeding perfect, underwatering causes all kinds of deficiencies just like overwatering. I just never knew i would have to refill my fabric pots(2gallon) every day even with the more water retaining PorMIxBX w/ Myco.
I see you chose to go with AZ on the grow more sea grow, in the future check out dyna gro. it's a 1 part that's been around for a long time. Dyna Gro Foliage Pro and ProTekt for silicon supplementation and won't need to mix tap water or calmag.
Which makes me realize something - you added lime with also adds calcium and magnesium so be careful adding any more as that starts to break down.
