Smoked the last of the salmon. It's hot smoked. I did a dry brine with just brown sugar and salt overnight and sprinkled with some fresh cracked black pepper after coming out of the brine and before letting it dry prior to putting in the smoker. Alder is the traditional wood to use around here but I didn't have any so I used apple. Turned out pretty tasty.

Fresh pasta with bolognese sauce. Well at least my try at it. It tasted good so we ate it. The ingredients are the remnants of what's left from the garden. I picked the last of the roma and San Marzano tomatoes before the rain showed up on Friday.

I didn't feel like bothering with the pasta machine just to make a couple portions of pasta so I just rolled it out and cut by hand.
