the burls and solid wood is dang old, some decades. I have noticed more movement in the Purpleheart but i mill, let it sit and then finish the sizing.

I’m always messing with finishes. Lately I’ve been doing a waterbase sealer and then a spray lacquer over them.

Can you give more details about the shop
like the saws, planers, sanders.....joinery techniques ? Pics would be nice.
for sure. It’s a cabinet shop full time. I rent space in part of it. Two table saws, 20” jointer 20” planner, lathe band saws etc. have a 5’ x 10’ Thermwood CNC.
Depending on what I’m building. Mostly blind dados for cabinets.
On the trays, miter joints with splines or dowels. Some times I’ll use a router but for a puzzle joint. I can’t really settle on a method as I feel like I’m always trying to learn more methods.
