FLOWERING WK 2 - So last weekend the electric company shut of my power because of an issue with the fuse box. I went 48 hours without any light. Unfortunately my baby was not happy and did everything she could to find the light. In two days there was almost a foot of growth I had to deal with.

So, I crushed the stems, bent them and tied them down. This has led to an explosion of growth. She is very healthy and back to her regular light schedule. I'm just hoping she doesn't turn on me. She smells great right after a nice feeding.

I'm going to be starting the CHACHING either this week or next, because I'm starting to see some tiny bud/calyx formations. I have to say that I really do need a bigger light because she is taking up nearly a 2.5ft x 2.5ft square. She's really pushing my closet to it's limits.

If I had a trellis I could do wonders with this plant. I think I might make a large "U" shaped scrog for the next grow, just so I can keep the damn thing trained haha. Enough blab, here she his. Turns out she also follows "No shave November."

FLOWERING WEEK 2 - Ok so I had to do some major work to my girl. She just wanted to keep stretching. The problem is I only have a 150watt HPS and some CFLs. She is over a foot tall and that doesn't work for me. With lumens rated for about a foot away from the bulb and the additional 6 inches or so I have to keep away from the tops, she needed to be tied down ;). I'm starting to see where the buds are going to form. She smells great too, but damn...ONA FTW. I never thought it'd work so well.

Anyhoo here are a couple pictures. The first one is her tied down, the second she's free to stretch, and the last one was the RE-LST. Looking forward to some bodacious bud.

FLOWERING WK3 - Hey guys! Hope everyone is having a great week. So I have started the cha ching. I know some people say it's early, but I'm not using the Beastie Bloomz or the other one (can't remember the name). She had finally started to really slow down with the growing, but she doesn't seem to be stopping. At this point it's alright, I have her mostly under control.

I am very upset about how far the nodes are from one another, but that two days without really boned me. I'm just hoping at this point the bud I do get isn't so "airy". Anyhoo, she has started to form many of her bud sites which is promising to see. It never does happen fast enough.

Question for the RIU crew out there . I am currently using a 150w hps. I was thinking about going to the 250w, so that way I can use the MH and HPS bulbs (my rig is the sun system so I currently can't use it). One, is it worth the upgrade? Should I wait until I have space for a 300/400w? Does it create that much more heat?

Enough blabber. Here is some softcore budporn haha.

Flowering Wk4 - Hello RUI! Mondays aren't so bad if you have the herb to meditate it off. My baby girl is really starting to show a lot of progress in how quickly the buds are getting bigger. If she can get the density than 4 OZ is definitely in the picture. She is huge! My biggest plant so far. Then again she is a sativa dominant, but still.

Her smell is getting slightly stronger. ONA keeps the smells at bay. I had to do another tie down. I'm definitely doing a SCROG next grow. With something this big, it way to annoying to keep tying and untying. She is still growing, but at a much slower rate now. I'll be adding two more CFLs. That will put me at about 250 watts of lights. 150 hps, currently (~50wattsCFL soon to be ~100). The heat is not a problem. It's cold enough when I leave the window open.

FLOWERING WK4 - Hey everybody. Hope everyone is having a decent week. I've been feeding with Tiger Bloom and Cha Ching. I have burned her just a smidgen, and really only on few leaves. She is starting to show trichome production on the sugar leaves and even on some fan leaves.

I'm really just hoping at this point she put on the weight I know she can. I know the nodes are far apart, which was aggravating, but so many damn budsites. For her size I'm shooting for over 4ozs (I like to think big). She smells fantastic, however the smell is not much farther than the closet, which is good for now. She is 10-12 weeker so I have time for the smell to come in haha.

Her vertical growth has practically stopped. Thank god for that. Any bigger and she'd need a larger room. Anyhoo. Just to ask again, will a 250w-400w raise the heat by that much more from my 150w, HPS that is? I was thinking of making something more permanent. Get a nice inline fan with a carbon filter. Maybe even do two separate closet pieces. I really want to get a perpetual grow going....waiting 3-4 months between stashes is not ideal for me. I'll take any suggestions or tips. If I can get some Indicas going i figured I could harvest every other month with two plants going.

If you're planning on going cooltube + inline fan for the 250 or 400 then I don't see either being much higher than the temps you're already dealing with. My micro cfl grow was running hotter than my 400w cool tube a lot of times. I was able to get it as close to the canopy as you have your 150. You have the space for it, 400w will give you more penetration / bigger buds and is usually within $30-$50 more than 250w. I think it's worth it.

Your plant is gorgeous...the twisted trunk gives her character :)

Who doesn't love bigger budz? I'll be keeping my eyes open for a nice cheap setup. Thanks for the kind words! Her trunk is pretty gnarly from all the LST. Really hoping to pull some good numbers off this one.

Looks like you will get a ncie harvest off that madam. Definitly would suggest ScroG as then you can boost your harvest with an even canopy. Good Luck with the lucky lady!

Hey curious! Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the kind words. I wanted to do a scrog this time around, but it just never happened so I was all about the LST.

FLOWERING WK 6 - OOH HELLLO RI-UPPERS. So we are now into week six of flower. She has such a nice smell! Sweet and sour. She is really starting to pack on the weight and trichomes. A weird one though, one of the buds was burnt about a week ago or so, because it was too close to the light. Now it has three heads growing from it...looks like a weird claw haha.

The grow is going really really well. Very easy now haha. I'll keep it short and here's some weed porn...hardcore ;)

FLOWERING WK 7 - Hello everybody! Happy Monday. IT'S FINALS WEEK w00t w00t! My baby raspberry is doing really well. UNfortunately, my HPS bulb blew out two nights ago. I have a new one in the mail on it's way already. I have 4-42w CFLS in there now. Luckily it's only for a few days. She is fatting up slowly, but surely. I am hoping that she is closer to the 10 weeks rather than 12 she can take to flower.

I had an idea for the door to the closet. I was going to make a framed door that was fully functional, but I'm a lazy stoner. Instead I'm going to take panda film, and adhesive zippers to make an entrance to the closet. This would completely encapsulate the plant, thus avoiding any light leaks as well. I would be able to mount my exhaust fan that was as well.

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful night and enjoys a few bud porn pics free of charge ;)

It came with the setup, so I'm not surprised. However, even knowing this information I was too cheap to get a backup. My new bulb comes in thursday. It seems that she really likes the CFLS as well.
