I am germinating my first set of seeds. This morning I checked the cups and saw that I have two plant stem growing from one seed. Have you seen this before? What should I do?

Diddo different strainNice. I've had it happen with Jack The Ripper one time. I was able to separate them and grow two plants.
What I did was, with the soil damp, just dig underneath the two and gently raise up , and they simply separated .Im sure that it was only one seed. How do I separate them?
I will give that a shot. This was Gigabud, BTW. Would it be harmful to leave it as it is?What I did was, with the soil damp, just dig underneath the two and gently raise up , and they simply separated .
Over crowding would be my guess. My seedings were only 2" apart. Or less .I will give that a shot. This was Gigabud, BTW. Would it be harmful to leave it as it is?
Interesting question, way over my head lolSo would they be genetically identical... the same as clones? Or can you have "fraternal" rather than "identical" seed twins?
I had the same thing happen with an avocado seed this summer. Got two separate plants from it.Twins. It happens. I was able to separate mine and grow two plants.
I had two quite discernibly different plants from one seed, was this last summer but lost both to gnats. So would they be genetically identical... the same as clones? Or can you have "fraternal" rather than "identical" seed twins?
