how do you like tyranny when it takes a trillion bucks and gives it to bankers?
how do the 8 million people who are out of work because politicians fucked up the housing market...how do those folks feel?
Most overused word in 09, Tyranny has my vote.
Boo hoo, I really get sick of all this pissing and moaning about how we got so screwed. We are really good at pushing blame onto other people, but maybe we really should take some of the responsibility for this crash ourselves, somehow the politicians are to blame for all the ills right?
I mean part of the blame cannot possibly be due to say the company that I worked for pushing out tons of equipment over the last decade to peoples homes with many of them using things like wells fargos 1 year no interest payments, only trick (and I always tried to let people know upfront, but that 30% interest is accruing in a second account and if you go over 1 day, poof it drops into your account making that 3k homegym 4k. Blame cannot possibly be placed on the real estate agents that sold people homes that they knew eventually they would not be able to afford, even if they warned them about the fact that they will want to sell the house before the five years are up and interest rates would be able to jump making your home unaffordable.
Nor the home depots making bank off of the housing boom, or carpet companies, furniture stores, auto dealers, shops keepers. Nor the home builders making 6 figure incomes as they flood the market with homes that become more and more expensive as people take out 2nd and third mortgages for things like boats and tvs. All of us benefitted, we all made a shit load off of the housing boom.
And the people that made the most directly were the people that sold their homes for more than what they purchased it for, and less on the people that bought it because they were not able to make money off the deal, meaning that they were the losers in this.
But no, it cannot be the hundreds of millions of people who profitted off of the housing boom right Jeff? No it has to be the 500 or so politicians that forced everyone to take out these loans right, please, allowing people to make up their minds is in no way tyranny, its allowing people to make up their own minds, the only problem is every time we will eventually use too much and fuck the system up. We need regulation because of this exact situation.
how about the few million who lost their homes because they couldnt make payments due to the huge tax burden associated with paying politicians a million bucks to run a podunk town in cali?
How about the millions more hit that lost their homes because there is not enough demand for their services and went out of businesses? There will always be crooked government officials, and without more info on this really dont have much to talk about, but is this the place where the politicians wedre getting paid like 750k a year for city jobs?
how about the farmers in central cali who were stripped of WATER to save a fucking toad, fish or lizard or some bullshit? how are they liking that their lively hood was TAKEN by politicians?
Where were their farms? Let me ask you this, should we continue to just pay an assload of money as a country to places that are stupid for people to live in? I really think that we should listen more to the scientists that tell us, hey maybe not a great idea to live below the seea level right off the gulf incase of a hurricane, or how about we dont live in flood plains, maybe farming in water table areas is also not a great things for long term health of our country. Should we not actually be made to think shit through more than a couple years ahead?
how bout the oil workers losing their jobs now because of a stupid moritorium that forced equipment to be shipped to other parts of the world?
Did you just miss the oil leak? I know it has to have been a bad idea, but did you hear about all the opil companies came together and are brainstorming ways to actually fix broken shit so that they can go back to congress and pitch to get the oil rigs back up and running. Would that really happen if we just out of sight out of minded it? Is that how anything in this world has ever worked? Hell no, people need to have a reason to do shit better or they will continue to do it the same.

Take it back from who? We are americans right? Do you mean you want it back to the times that people could build buildings with asbestos? Or lead paint for your child crib, because hell if its on the free market and a government official says shit about it its tyranny right?
