Sadly this is not it... (humidifier by SF)

On another note I looked up professional humidifiers that could handle 250m³/h they are equal in watts (250) and the size is about 2-3 times the size of the SF unit.

Might as well put a pot on my stove again when it's too dry and pray for rain every now and then.

Are you able to get the ac infinity cloudforge t7?
It's what I use and it works great for me.

Have you considered an evaporative cooler?

Wouldn't something like that work with a peltier element some pipes and a fan?
An evaporative cooler holds a couple gallons of water and simply pumps it to the top and gravity runs it through a filter. Air is moved by a fan. RO water and regular cleanings keep it running well.

I have one similar to this:

Growing in a 5 x 9 section of a 10 x 10 room my humidity averages 30% without it. With it on it lasts for hours and brings the humidity to the upper 40's where I like it.

what power draw? I cannot view the home depot site.

I run the same humidifier theres nothing wrong with the units they work well , you dont vent constantly and expect any humidifier to keep up thats absurd .
And if you dont set the hose up correctly of course its going to collect water rather than drain back down the hose into unit as designed .
No complaints here about the units i have 2 of them and no affiliation with the company what so ever.

I don't like when people assume what I did incorrectly.
We can agree to disagree and move on.

The RH in my basement usually is around 35%. Growing in coco and watering every day brings it up to 80% RH without extraction running. I'm only in a 3x3 area mind you. Your 5x9 is a whole other ballgame. But maybe it's a different angle for you to look at.

Maybe put the fan speed controller back on the fan? Does humidity increase if fan speed is decreased? Maybe put the humidifier back the tent with the fan just pulling lightly and see what you get.

If you’re worried about smell, you should just have a fan/filter combo in the tent that scrubs the air, in addition to your extraction fan. Does your fan control humidity? Temperature? Smell? All 3?? If running your fan full blast 24/7 is the cause of your humidity issues then something has to give if you’re looking for any corrective changes.
