Sativa Hoarders Seed Co.

Found these guys through a search for Mango Haze. Looks like a group of Aussies with an affinity for old school sativa goodness. I have no affiliation, nor have I popped any gear, but I want to give them a formal thread for people who have tried their gear, or people interested in crosses with a focus on old school sativas.

If you have any experiences, good or bad, feel free to share here!

So, this morning I finalized my end of the order process, and they told me it would be sent out tomorrow (but they're australian, so its impossible to calculate when that might be). They were very pleasant to deal with.

They have a pretty large variety of deals. I ordered 6 packs, but I confused their 50 pack of haze mix with a regular pack. They offered me 24 beans instead of 50 and the same deal as the 6 pack offer, which was very cool! The paypal process is similar to other smaller outlets, they give you the info, you send them the money, and they respond via email. They don't tell you anything about whether to use the goods and services or friends and family, I would advise asking via email. I just went with friends and family in good faith. I would never recommend doing that with little to no info on a seed seller, there's the disclaimer. I'll make another post when I receive the beans, or if they get intercepted.

Here's part of the email they sent,

The plot thickens

So I got my tracking today, and they're being shipped from Spain, which is almost a red flag, but what's an adventure without some suspense.

I think I have to pop some as soon as they get here to see how legit they are. Nothing like fucking around and finding out to make a thread official and informative!

Ive been getting his email stocklists too. I never doubted their legitimacy tho.
Some things say they were sourced from Yosemite Sam so if thats true the beans should be legit.
You could probably ask Dubi or Yosammy (for a reference)on other forums.

Beans arrived out of the blue today, I took some photos and threw them in the freezer, will start germinating tonight! I'm leaning towards the C5 first, but you know how that goes lol. Probably just popping 4 beans since these will be mothers for a spring or summer grow more than likely.

The packaging is pretty standard, but they've clearly put alot of effort into their graphic design, which is a bit surprising for how little documentation there is about SHSC. The beans are the biggest I have ever seen, which isn't saying a whole lot, but I look at it as a good omen.

I have some LuckyDog Chem Fuego sprouting now, I'm 4 weeks into flower on AKBBs Consumption x Thai, so after these pop, I'll be sitting on a full house for the foreseeable future!

You mentioned you freeze seeds is that a common way to save or make seeds last I have heard an use fridge but I’d imagine freezers would bust a few internals up dropping the strike rate am I totally wrong on that ?

I use the freezer because it doesn't have a light, it gets opened less, I have quite a few seeds so some of them are bound to be stored long term, and in this case, I'm using the cold to kill any potential pathogens that may be in the seeds. It doesn't kill viroids, but between this and the 1-3% h2o2 soak, it gives them the best chance for being pathogen free.


I don't claim this is the defacto best way to go about it, it's just worked for me thus far.

Yeah brother I was just wanting to hear your take mate thats all I’m not one of those ball busters think I’m the all knowing herb specialist I’m learning and I like asking an when I say learning I’m 46 grown a lot younger all outdoor . This indoor led is all new to me an I soak shit up wherever I find it correlates with other people who know or have done to a degree

No worries, I just like to be thorough and honest. There's a culture of "a+b=c or go fuck yourself" that I would like to see the cannabis community abandon, so I try and respond accordingly.

First 5 Mango c5 didn't germ, total user error there

Mango C5
Mango A5
Mexico Haze #5
I figured I could spread my orders out in case they get intercepted.

I plan to start with the Mango C5 as well.
My Holy Grail strain of Silver Haze was made from C5 or so I think I read somewhere.

Depends on company but if they get intercepted usually from what I’ve read they will re supply but I could be wrong it’s just something I think I read

So my fuck up atm is ..I missed a few flowers on the back of a small plant ,I had thrown in to fill an area. yes it’s given me my own strain ,but fact I missed the fuckin thing means I couldn’t control its seeding..
so I’ve got idk by looks quite a few across my banner from some peanut butter giving me lmao PEANUT BANNER BREATH idk sounds bit gay lmao might have to rework that lol but in essence not sure how much seeds been fuckin spread luckily I got a one beside it .
doesn’t seem it saw the spread so we can only see ..
the seeds themselves well they’ll save me a fortune in stock for while so there’s a silver lining I suppose but as guy said up screen life it has its ways learning still I will in future be more aware of my off sides lol…

Not sure if you're in the right thread, but I'm sorry to hear that.

If it was a genuine male, the seeds are good. Not sure what the whole middle bit meant, but I've heard good things about penut butter breath. If you had a female drop pollen, something hermied, and I would trash the seed.

Well a peanut butter breath put some pollen over Bruce banner so ending in a half strain of each my own strain in essence due to I haven’t heard anyone have such a strain but I could be wrong I have searched all strains known lol the thread was I’ve been chatting in it I didn’t want to start a new thread on it so I just added it here to tell some one my blunder lol so there you go the middle bit explanation
