Welcome All, I am glad you chose to waste time here. Let me help you out.

I felt like I was jacking a couple threads recently so it is time to consolidate and stick it in one thread. I hope all my brethren will gather along and critique and give some insight on methods they may see fit. haha

So for those of you unfamiliar, let me introduce you to Narnia:

The Environments

-Deep Water Culture
-10 gallon Totes from Walmart, (~6.5gal of true capacity, all MAIN res', the smaller are for seeding and transitions)

x2- 36x17x72" Poly Cabinets from Lowes (ID: 33x15.5")
x1- 3x3' DarkRoom90 (Secret Jardin wannabe) (71"H)

The Bells

x4- 14w T5-2700k (clones, in upper veg cab, switchable)
x1- 4250k Area 51 A-90 (tore down into two separate Veg panels, sorry EH)//max draw 60/90w
x1- Area 51 SGS-160//max draw 122/157w
x1- R2 Apache AT200 (en route)

The Whistles

x1- Hanna TDS/EC/Temp Pen
x1- Hanna Continuous Monitor (.7CF)
x1- Grozone TV2 Fan controller
x1- 6" Hydrofarm+filter
x1- Generic RO System
x1- Apogee MQ-200 Meter
xX- Good ol' PH drops (system of checks and balances)

The Genetics

-Super Lemon Haze (lemon skunk pred. cut, x5 seeds, and my current strain)
-Space Queen (x5)
-Sour Kush
-Fruity Chronic Juice (supposed to be getting a clone within the next couple weeks)
-LA Woman

The Regime

-Dyna Gro
-Dyna Bloom (only for <150ppm adjustments, Gro is more concentrated, goes further)
-Dyna Protekt
-Dyna Mag Pro
-Bot. Cal/Mag+
-Nitrozime (Kelp, only foliar sprayed)
-Ful-Power
-EWC Microbe Tea (thanks Dawg)

I will likely upload all the photos tomorrow night, pretty late as is.

Some things I am trying out this time around are 1) I am rocking no rocks, going without any hydroton on these four clones I have going currently. They are feeding at 500 and doing great. I had just transplanted two of them tonight into the 3.75" Net Pots where they'll finish out their stay. Ill throw some pics of these up too. 2) The 3x3' is set up, but not dressed, I have not ran the power supply to it yet, and the AT is not here yet. I have couple weeks anyways. 3) I ill be using one of my chambers to seed out this pheno of SLH with 50ppm Colloidal Silver, I will be using two of the four cuts I have now. 4) I was fortunate enough, to get my hands on an AT+the wider lenses, I will be playing with these quite a bit and promised Dawgy Dawg I would give him something.

The strains are up in the air right now, I have been waiting on the FCJ for two weeks already, and getting ansty. I may toss in something to keep me busy after the holidays slow down. The SLH pheno I KEPT took 68 the last round, so matching for a nice perp. shouldnt be a HUGE hassle....

Thats all for now! I hope every one is doing well and I will try and get some color up here sometime tomorrow

FCJ has got some AWESOME aroma's to it. Kind of like berry grapefruit when I grew it.
VERY tasty.

It is fantastic, the cut my buddy has is a direct replacement for a bowl of Fruity Pebbles, it's unreal. It has been close to 3 years since I have smoked it, and it left a very deep impression on me. I am hoping he will follow through and bring me something down.

Glad to have you along Pet, being a hydro guy yourself we have a bit more in common than others..

I went ahead and snapped some shots, I apologize for the quality, but I am not givin up my iPhone4 (5.1.3 i think?) till they release something just groundbreaking. Nothing beats jb'd. Hopefully Ill be upgrading my digital camera before too long.

Does anyone know if taking a heat gun or hair dryer will break in the "210D" material and get rid of the wrinkles? The zipper keeps coming out of line on the tougher corners.

Getting up to Speed

image.jpgimage_3.jpgimage_4.jpgimage_5.jpgimage_6.jpg

Four lonely SLH clones, I had only cut out the center of the NP on one of the four, see if it let's me not have to deal with feeding the sensitive roots through.. Once the stem gets thick enough I will remove the 2" neo.

They (^^^) are running under the 4250k NW's- I REALLY like these for veg, here's some shots of the smaller version I rigged up. Hilo actually used the same concept within days, and we had not spoken! I thought that was very cool... I used the backs of my old Pro Grow's (with x3 fans, that will be upgraded later) and a source made me some 2" spacers (tahe green mounts) to mount the board with enough distance to clear the heatsink.

This is the big lady, just recently got a res change (Saturday @850ppm) She is ten days into flower.
image_7.jpgimage_8.jpgimage_9.jpg

you can see I have been brutal, but this lady was just not having it. I will probably stop training about 3 1/2 weeks after the flip (about 2 more weeks)

Some things to note: Power outage drowned my girls a couple weeks ago (was out for almost 4 hours), but she bounced back alright- I tossed her sister. I am having some Micro Def's- thinking Zinc/Iron and Magnesium, and I have learned to love MagPro- not quite as potent as Cal/Mag+

Here is a gradual update of 'er, I believe it starts the day before 12/12 and the shift to the flower cabinet

Got an idea here- it has to do with using less grid juice.

I have actually been thinking of this for my hi-end audio system (grid electric is filthy for audio/video) but damn, we could use it too.

Sine-Wave Inverter AC/DC + Supercaps + Marine Battery. No idea as to ~ cost, so might be too expensive. Dunno

If taking away from your thread, let me know and I will delete. I'm going to post in my thread regardless.

Compact Supercapacitors

Energized To 3,500 Farads! Now DCN supercapacitors offer capacitance up to an incredible 3,500 Farads with multiple lead styles. Custom packs offer higher ratings. Great for: battery pack alternatives, memory backup, battery/capacitor hybrids, energy harvesting.

You are up to some crazy shit, Pet. don't worry about deleting, someone might take something from it.

I did a little looking but cant seem where to relate this to; is it electromagnetic waves through the res? I thought I had saw a post on it in your thread but could not find it again. What is it supposed to do?

Something to do with Osmostic Pressure..? Do you have links?

Amongst all the holiday shopping, I am collecting all the Necessary Accessories to fire the tent up. UPS says by the end of the week for AT.

The List: (my entire family rags on how bad my list making is..)

-x2 Tetra Whisper 100's (I have grown fond of these air pumps, the lower models blow, but these have lasted for about 3 years now, and run quiet compared to others I have tried. I do have some MONSTER sunleaves' pumps- I think 610, and the big 1440 or whatever. They put off more heat than O2, and are loud as fuck.) I dono... they might run cooler in the new environment...

-PVC/String/Brackets to build two more screens and mounts, I went ahead and bought two more matching totes (10 gal res) yesterday.

-x1 Filter, I have an extra 6" inline, but I need a nice new filter to pop on the bitch. I may call gator and see what they cant do...

-xStyrfoam to block windows, you may notice the sunlight in the pictures of the tent.

-Pack of 10 2x2" cyl. airstones- I live by these, and a pack is $~30, perfect size, don't bother with the larger onces.

So expect some updates on new screens and the developement of the tent. I did buy some 1/4" hose clamps and placed them in between the support bars in the top of the tent to keep them from sliding towards the middle once I throw that 17lbs package in there. :hump: I did transplant the other two clones, they are all doing great- but it does look like they were a little deficiient for a few days. Glad I dosed them when I had. d

Looks like Mg to me, but I am willing to consider all the possibilities. I went ahead and bumped em with some MagPro and Cal/Mag+ on top of their base solution, in 3 gallon of solution they are feeding @500ppm.

**I will upload pics shortly**

LOL, not for the rez. The idea is to plug our equipment (and hopefully our lights) into the Inverter, drawing off the battery/capacitor bank instead of the money hungry elec companies grid. LEDs make this more practical than power sucking HIDs

I also incorporate magnets and a flooming water fall rez to increase chi (think turbocharge) the nutes

THATS what I had read about, okay. Im acutally REALLY lucky where im at. from what it sounds at least. CA is paying about .33kwh(?!?!?!) and I am doing like a 1/6 of that at .058/kwh.

Since that power hit I have been looking at gas generators, but thats not very eco friendly. Got any links I could dig in on? Im still a little lost.

Something for any HID growers coming to visit: your 400w MH or 600w HPS is equivalent to my entire rig, and then some lol. Thank you LEDs.

Here's those shots of the def and tent:

image_2.jpgimage.jpgimage_1.jpgimage_3.jpg

The two on the right have the most "severe" damage, the other two have it hardly at all.

^^^^I measured and locked these at 9" in from the front and back on each side.

Nice monitor!

No links, but I have seen some YT videos using Super Capacitors that could guide anyone looking to assemble

It's straight forward

Sine Wave Inverter plugs into wall to charge the batteries/caps, off grid equipment plugs into opposite side of inverter, then flip a switch to draw down from storage as needed.

Reverse to recharge battery/caps

Nice monitor!
Thanks P, if you keep an eye they will drop <150 the right time of the year ("Hanna or Truncheon Factors"), think I am going to score me another for one of the other areas.

I have to calibrate the tds more often than ph, fwiw. Think its the larger range over the same amount of time... but my ph probe does not EVER need calibrated, I just do it to stay diligent. The TDS is a little hit and miss but within ~10ppm when in cal.

I will say that I like it more than I did my Bluelab Continuous, and its 2/3, 1/2 the price.. Hanna for a win.

So.. I saw a burnt pistil on my big lady in the cab. Being a little skeptical anyways- in my last run she showed sex definite sex in 8-10 days- where its now the 15th. I checked the timer and I must have hit it with nutes/bottle just enough because it was off by a half hour. Fannnnnnntastic. Kicking myself a little for not realizing it, but I know it had not been like that the whole cycle, thinking 4-5 days on the last res change. (since there were a couple pistils, in the making..)

I am strongly considering making clones out of her andf moving on. The lady is trying to talk me out of it, but you know.

The Destruction Pro's:

1.) I could throw down that SK seeds Ive been eyeing
2.) I could seed out two clones of SLH
3.) Less hassle- I will be flipping all 4 of those SLH clones in two weeks.
4.) Bitch is overgrown, almost 3 extra weeks of veg I was not planning on letting them grow through the screen too much.

The Con's:

1.) Less, wont run out though.
2.) All that damn Veg time.

Im not too worried about it, like I said I decided to dedicate all four of the current clones in veg to the AT200 tent. Two more weeks and they will get the flip, give or take. Still have to get the new screens built up. More pissed off I wasted the electricity/time and effort on it..

-Did get temps from 54 to 72 in the tent without any pumps/lights with a dinky little space heater.

-Ordered one of those sweet looking fans Psu, a Vortex S-line like Dawg's though. Picked up a new filter for it at Greners too

-AND ordered x2 new DIGITAL light timers, fuckers...

I have the big bitch on 12/12 till I decide, but I think im just gonna tear her into a million clones and seed a couple from THAT Round. And unless anyone else votes I think i am going to go with Sour Kush, not a huge Indica guy but I would like some sleepy time T.

Ill throw up some pictures, but the focus of this thread is going to be the SLH/AT run.

**something else to think about** if I keep the big bitch in 12/12- that will be a lot of trimming come March, and a lot of burping come Summer. Thank you Deep Freeze.

If anyone has insight on Sublimation and Freeze curing. I am lost if you can leave the containers open (in a cardboard box, lid slightly open) in a FROST FREEZER. Im talking brand new, frost at the top edges, but definitely there.

Take care everyone and Happy Holidays!

I do think a couple more weeks on the young one and they will be ready for the flip

image_2.jpgimage_3.jpg

photo.jpgimage.jpgimage_1.jpg

Ill will foliar the kids a few times between now and the next few weeks with a Nitrozime/Protekt/Ful-Power mix, from what I know Fulvic and Kelp are suggested at 5:2 and I tack on the silica at :2, cant hurt.

Its a little early to tell, but I am in love with Nitrozime (sea kelp, not weed) but if I get the same results I had on the big girl, Im sold. To hell with auxins, gimme those cytokinins!

Been busy being the holidays and all but I could not ask for a better kind of busy.. checking off that list.

image_1.jpgimage_3.jpgimage_4.jpgimage_2.jpg

That is the monster of "1440gph," haha. We'll see, with the temps being lower, I am going to give it an opportunity in it's favor. Draws a damn 80w according to the label. I was concerned about the noise but it was negligible once I got a ways from it. I do have a couple more pumps on the way in case I decide to cut down down on elect., (probably early on use x2 ~15w pumps vs. x1 80w late 12/12)

I dont like the black "mat" that came with the tent, but I may put it back in... I keep catching myself wanting to take off my shoes when I have to step into it. :eyesmoke:

The AT200 WILL be here tomorrow, I told the ol' lady, all I have to make sure I do tomorrow- is sign for the package. After that i am waiting on the new fan and filter I ordered 12% off at Greners, woop! ...basically covered shipping.... oof! With my new digital timers, so things should be straight.

My cheap ass 730's are God only knows where, they even went and sent me a message stating they hoped I understand how things shipped from their location.. whatever. as long as they get here. I have the heatsinks from old panels I can cut to length, just waiting on the emitters and drivers, I wasn't going to rig em in the tent but since I took down the big lady (last night, only took 4 [thick ass] clones) and figured fuck it. x12 emitters should be enough to spread over the area. May have to rig me up some ghetto pontoon style hangers though..

I did the first foliar with kelp/fulvic/silica/and a little calmag+ before lights out (18/6)The ladies were starting to grow vert a bit, so I drenched em, and they loved every minute of it- I will not be using any Topping/FIM techniques on these ladies, just some LST and defol. every now and again. Things will catch up on their own. Ill have to try and catch some shots at lights on for you guys.

GEDC0221.jpgGEDC0222.jpgGEDC0225.jpgGEDC0226.jpgGEDC0229.jpgGEDC0231.jpgGEDC0218.jpgGEDC0234.jpgGEDC0237.jpg

I may go ahead and move the SGS over them till they are ready to go under the scrogs/AT, probably another ~4" hit or miss.

I DID find my other camera, and more importantly- found the Macro feature, haHA! Hopefully you will be able to tell when I decided to be proactive about things. It does have a video feature, so I may try and do a 'live' thing like those Heavy's totin' AT600's and IG420's... VERT!! ;) I hope you are all having a great break and enjoy your holidays. BE SAFE>>> lots of crazies out this time of year.

Since I destroyed the overgrown bitch, I got away with not having to build two more screens and lids, but I did decide to restring them and "unbow" the pvc from being to tight.

GEDC0240.jpgGEDC0242.jpg

Here are the charts I have set up for my PPFD Meter (Apogee) and AT200, pretty much took the spreadsheet I had used for the SGS and double things up, added a "rim" for the pvc. Again, these are not to Scale for the actual screens, but get the point across and gives me a great idea where I want my lights for the area. I have x6 made up, for both the 14 and 50* lenses. And keep in mind, this is an imperfect design. The left screen is slightly uneven in the center, I am still tampering with the cause, the light could be hung uneven or offset, etc etc.

Looking good. I see you and several others that have built the pvc screens like that, I really like it and may have to copy it. What are you using for the "screen" material and how are you attaching it?

Oh, and if you didn't already you'll want to get that air pump off the floor and above the water level of your res, if it looses power for any reason it can back siphon all the water out of the res out onto the floor.

Glad you stopped in Tallen, been scrogging for a couple years now and I will never grow a tree again unelss I need to. No fun, half the pleasure is watching the hormones divert and every thing reacts almost immediately. Just worked out my old screens were 33x15"

Now I have myself two 12/12 spaces and cannot be happier, constantly looking ahead, but I make it a point to keep things Symmetrical. (totes, screens, and spaces) GG and I have spoken about our final rigs (6x3 scrog myself), and these are the small steps towards That.

Thanks for the heads up on the pump, it wont stay down there once things get going. I was considering mounting it up with some rubber feet underneath it on the post it is next to in the picture at about shoulder height. I would need about 6" screws though, I have ~2" thick rubber "feet" I have in mind..

Speaking of Trees and sitting here browsing, heres some shots of the keeper pheno of my SLH, so far. I still have 5 seeds to go through- but this one's my baby, smells like Pinesol and smokes like lemons. haha

photo.jpgimage_2.jpgimage_3.jpg

Overfed early on and flushed for way too long to fix it.. got ~3 ounces off 'er. :spew:Definitely not SSH dominant though, has the potential to be a great yielder.

I do think that SK is gonna get germ'd here soon now that I have some space to play with.

First impressions:

-This thing is a hoss, easily the heaviest panel I have owned, but solid.
-Fans are loud, but I may be turning the panel around because the cool air blowing my direction during the tests gave me a headache.
-I can already tell that 24-30" is going to be my comfort zone, the coverage at these levels (with the 14*'s) rock, outside edges all 200+umol
-Actual draw started at 172w then settled at 166-167w, kind of alarming, was expecting closer to 200w draw for the AT200, curious what others are drawing, but this does make a killer comparison for the SGS and 200. hmm...

Speaking of... I do have the SPD's of both panels, check this out.

Yeah that's odd that the power draw is only 167w??? maybe GG and Puff can test their AT200 panel and see if it's the same.

what was the original AT120 power draw ??, I though their using higher wattage/efficient Nichia leds in the 200...........IDK, hope you get it squared away.

you sure they sent you the right one??? lol..............be safe brother

I'll have to try using my killawatt meter again to see what my AT200 draws. I tried when I first got it but couldn't remember how to work it. Seemed like none of the buttons were doing anything...but I'll try again this week because I'm curious now since 170w is what my AT120 was pulling when i checked it. Question about the graphs...what is the y-axis on the second graph representing? I'm guessing that one is the sgs because I know apache labels theirs with mW/m^2/nm.

And that is one sexy tent you have there brother Scotch. Really digging the setup. Can't wait to see how you rock it. The SLH a few posts up is looking killer man! Such a beautiful strain and pleasure to smoke. Have a great holiday brother!

Congrats on the arrival. I will go get a kilowatt meter tonight and test mine too.

The spec sheet they sent me said 169w. I thought it just hadn't been updated yet. Maybe it's right. If the µmols are still pumping out of it, then that must be the wattage they chose. Just an upgraded chip basically. Or maybe it's the most efficient point where past it, an increase in wattage doesn't increase spread or intensity in an advantageous way. I'll see what I can find out.
