B. : yep res temp is high can not do anything about that at the moment its alot better than it was. thank you

Email : I love being able to see whats happening below, one question what do you do with the other hand?. no no i don't want to know.

ok time for an update i think

Ph was 6.1 so added 0.035mil of ph down now at 5.8

temps remain steady

room 78
res 74

after i had ph'ed i borrowed URBAN MIST'S EC pen

EC 0.81ms i know i had no burn at 130ms i got burnt at 200ms(recommended amount) so i added 35mil of grow EC now at 1.51ms i shall look for burn tomorrow i don't think i will get any.

there is no extra curling so i know now it was heat damage.

here's a couple of pics from 11am(pics 95,96)

11pm update

temp remain good no sign of any burn but i did not expect it yet,(that's if i get any)

the roots are impressing me as they have grow a lot in just 24 hours(pic98 )

couple of pics(97,99)

i have not noticed any stretching since i took the other light out but i want to put it back in we shall see tomorrow.

hopefully i will be getting some supplies in tomorrow or monday.

as you noted they are showing signs of some heat stress but not bad at all.

looks like you got a solid shopping list there! hopefully the new fan will help cool things off a bit.

the heat stress damage is that permanent or will it rectify it's self?

if the new fan cools it down enough then i will put a third light back in.

i am hope my pay is in the bank tomorrow.

depends on how bad they get... even if the old leaves don't get better - as long as the new growth is looking good you're all set.

i have 6 in soil 4 are doing badly 1 is doing very well and i have the little mutant it's still going. i will add some pics in the next update. none are doing as well as the hydro.

i know B&Q have the fan as i looked yesterday and the other stuff i know the hydro shop has, the only thing i might have problems with is the air pump it's from a small pet shop and the last time i went in they only had 2 left that was 2 weeks ago so fingers crossed.

And you DJ.

You might think of freezing a couple water bottle's and setting them in the res. Area... I would have to say "secured" away from the roots! What would be e's thoughts on this...db.~tlb! :)

we had that discussion - it is a temporary solution at best - unless you are one dedicated grower!

did you see those beautiful roots he has going? to my mind that means awesome things for topside!

kulan hunter - i've been meaning to ask about your forum name.... is kulan a reference to one of genghis khan's wives or is it a reference to Kulan Gath from Conan? or something else altogether?

For sure! An "explosion" being able to see under the boat during sail is very nice... This is why i flip those tubs, to get a "post" look at what went down... Would be better to see this full term... For making those calls.!!! Db.~tlb! :)

Email i have used that as a nick name for many years. it started when i was up in north england hunting, i came back with 20+ rabbits in a day i was about 18 and the name was born, kul an hunt. KUL = to kill, AN = and, and hunt, but over the years it has evolved to kulan hunter. there is a similarity also to my real name.

B. i shook my roots free on my last grow but by the time the small roots had come away with the soil they were not great. have you looked at my first journal it was a joke. the plants started off under a 100w incandescent desk light near a window sill classic noobie. but in the end i got about 4>oz off 4 plants it was not a great smoke but it got me stoned after about an Q. but i made a lot of mistakes one's i hope not to make again. these are the same strain but boy are they different so close and tightly packed. Wow i think i like hydro.

i will update soon

oh yeah - hydro can be very rewarding!

that's a cool story how you got your nick. I love spending time out in the woods, fields, lakes and streams!

ok i've been busy today went out to get suppiles got everything buti got talking to one of the shop workers at the hydroshop and boy he blew my mind with his knowlage, mainly on the chemical and lighting side Wow and he only growes vegtables (i think he may have grown in the past ((he looks like a hippy)which is good) but he knew what i was growing and kept on using the word sage as it also produces resin.

we got on to the subject of apple flush and he said i quote "yep i can see why it would work blah blah apple juice contains chemical name blah which the plant uses a lot of during its final stage blah over my head blah" but he was interessted in it.

so i have fitted my fan now and the room temp has dropped again, even though i have put a second envirolite in there now i am running 2x 125w envirolite 6500k and 1x 125w envirolite 2700k.

PH 5.8

room temp 76

res temp 72

humidity 60%

ok so i added extra nute yesterday only one plant has shown damage its the one closest to the hole were i add the nutes. i have made another error i am putting pure nute in that hole i should be mixing it before it goes in or removing the plant till the nute is mixed properly.

here's a pic from this morning 10.30ish

plant looking ok bar the little burn on one of the plants but only on 1-2 leaves.

11pm update

i realized that i should have put some water to rest yesterday so i could set it up today, i have fitted the new in-line fan and cut the holes in the buckets for the net pots and filled the buckets ready for transplant tomorrow. i need more air line as well.

pics from 11pm

if you look in the red ring you will see the nute burn.

here's a pic of my new oxy pots.

we shall see how they run tomorrow.

and a video of my room today

http://s349.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid349.photobucket.com/albums/q384/kulanhunter/journal2/33460016.flv&fs=1&os=1&ap=1

and that's it for today.

oh no i forgot i was asked how the soil plants are doing well here they are.

i will be repotting them over the next few days.

now that all folkes.

Thats incredible the difference between the soil and the hydro. They're looking nice n bushy. They really are tight and packed. Is that the hydro or the new lights or what exactly?
