Should i trim my fan leaf tips during early flower?

then this turns into a theory of mine then. My theory is that if i trim the leaf instead of fully defoliating it, the plant will still have energy from the leaf, less stress than complete defoliation of the leaf, and more light can get through.

Ok I’m done here. Sorry bro but you seem to think you have some kinda secret thing in your pocket. Again…. Cutting tips isn’t a thing. No one does that unless they don’t know what they’re doing as far as defoliation goes.

So what you’re saying is that since you had your second grow in November of 2020, you’ve maximised your available space and tweaked everything to bump up your harvesting numbers?
you've played around with environmental variables and feel you’ve maximised the most from the environment you’re working with?
Fuck dude I’ve been doing this for 12 years and still haven’t maximised everything I could in my space.
if you’re running a scrog you should cut anything that is below the scrog net.
as long as you’ve got good air circulation with oscillating fans you shouldn't need to worry about cutting tips or fan leaves.
But I’m happy with my yields which is ultimately all that matters.
leaves are photosynthesising parts of the plant.

i've gotten to the point where i am doing a perpetual grow. one zone for flower and another for veg. the training technique im using is mainlining. If i have space in my tent, i add clones in 1 gallon pots. cool plants btw.

Has it occurred to you that asking experienced growers for advice is, in fact, a form of research? Besides, there's a ton of conflicting information out there about growing cannabis, and especially about defoliation. Having an actual conversation about a topic can be quite enlightening.

And you have now been told by a few of us that what your talking about is not a thing. I’m sure this won’t deter you. But you might want to listen. Look at your grow….. does it compare to grows you’ve been shown? If not you may want to just pretend your not smarter than all of us and just listen.

So you’ve maximised your current growing methods and can’t get any higher consistent numbers after changing environmental variables such as Co2, Temp diff changes, nutrient requirement changes?
Or you just want to fuck about with defol techniques To see what happens?
