Stem Rot? What is this attacking my babies?

Think I have a case of Stem Rot or Root Rot going on from an overwatering. I have treated the area with H2O2 and once soil drys I am planning on doing a H2O2 rinse at a strength of 4 TBL to 1 quart and have started to foilage feed to keep her going. Any help at what exactly this is would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You are, your overwatering. All you can do now is blow a fan on the lower stem clear an inch of soil around the base and stop overwatering!

Thats what I thought, Damping off. New pots and new soil mix, and me not paying attention. I wonder if I can cut that and treat it like a clone? Too the lab batman..

over watering is the main cause of plant decline. i've seen it happen due to seeds being sown too deeply, also. next grow us a mist bottle to water the soil just around the plant without soaking the entire pot. GL

Yeah, I changed my pots and soil mix and it doesn't drain and dry as even as it use too, when I did her post mortum the top 1/2 of the soil was dry but root mass was soaked as the pots didn't allow for a good drain so I was watering way too much, but it looks like I saved the other 4 clones and 3 seedlings I had in the same tray. RIP red cherry berry.

If you really want it to survive, here's what I would try.
1) Cut the first two 'true' leaves off with a razor-blade, dip straight into water then clonex gel over the cuts.
2) Plant it deeper, covering the clonex.
3) Stake it up.
Don't take this as gospel as I've never done it.
Remember damping off is a fungal disease and should be treated as such. However, in this case, far more than in most other diseases, prevention is better than cure.

I broke an upper stem once and it grew like that. Did you ever have to prop it up as a seedling because it fell over?

That sounds like its gong to do more damage then good. He should just do what soma suggests! He swears by it man, all u do is apply the stuff he talks about in the vid on the stem and it COMPLETELY stops it. Soma is a great breeder and knows his shit that it works. Where u say u haven't even tried it? Idk if that's good advice to give saying u dont know the results bro! OP search that video I was telling u about!

I'd say if the plant is large enough, clone it. This abnormalty will continue in stunting the plants growth.

No, it stood strong until the stem got so weak that it looked like it was held on by a thread. I cut her down and cleaned the cut real good and clonex into a cube, but shes not looking too good but that was just a wing and a prayer. Gonna clean everything tomorrow and get rid of it if it doesn't show some signs of recovering as it's just one plant, but I hate to lose a plant that was my fault. Been growing 3 years and never ran into this problem so now I know. Thanks.

Yeah, lesson learned. an ounce of prevent (or in this case me paying attention to what the hell I was doing) goes a long way. But hey thats why I love playing with the plants, learn something new all the time right.

Exactly what I was going to say. I've only seen it once... but I got it out of my garden right away. Insects will spread pythium quickly. I've only seen it take down seedlings, but, i don't know. I would think it could cause problems in prop domes/aero cloners.

Yeah, pythium threw me a surprise too. It just showed up one day and wiped out 10 seedlings just like that. I haven't seen it since.

I didn't even overwater. I watered seedlings into a qt of coco one time and they were flopping over before they even needed water again.

I had fungus gnats (vector) and they were on a heat pad (friendly environment for fungus).
