terminal melanoma treatment

Hi everyone,
so I am a total newbie to the idea of growing this plant, and I have never smoked it-ever!!!
but my Dad has just been diagnosed with terminal melanoma and this may be his only hope.
I never realised that there were different strains of cannibas, so.. which one should I be looking at getting for him, and how should I process it for maximum benefit?
not looking for a high, or pain relief at the moment, just the health benefits/possible cure that it offers, although as things progress I will probably start looking for pain relief as well if things dont go well.. so I should probably be buying more than one strain of seeds right?
any advice would be more than appreciated.. :)

If you've never grown, and if you have immediate need of cannabis (which you do), then just go to a legal state and buy marijuana.

I support new growers, and I'll be glad to help you, but with your complete newness to marijuana, it would probably be 6 months before you could have a decent first crop ready to smoke. And that's assuming you have a place to grow, and the money to grow (initial setup costs can be expensive).

Don't give up on growing, but be realistic and buy some while you're learning to grow.

Good luck.

Thankyou ZaraBeth, I appreciate your advice..
Unfortunately I live in Australia and there is no way to buy legal marijuana.. :(
We do own a large farm (ranch) so growing it in secret is not an issue, but finding a regular supplier with quality medicinial product is very difficult. Hence why I am resorting to the idea of growing it.
I was hoping to make edibles rather producing a product for smoking as my Dad is not a smoker so may not handle smoking. I do know producing a good edible would be even harder than a smoking product though..
Erghhh, why is everything so hard!??!!! I wish the big corporations would get out of the road so it can just be legalised everywhere and used .. we all know it works!!

My sympathies to your family.

While you get familiarized with cannabis, its properties and strains, I suggest you try your hand at gardening. Just try to germinate a seed and make it grow into a plant using whatever is available in your house. It can be a tomato plant, but I don't recommend you to go buy $25 top genetic cannabis seeds if you have no experience in gardening.

A few years ago, I got a bag of weed with some seeds. Since they looked good and the weed was good, I decided to try to germinate them like I was taught decades ago in elementary school. It worked out so I transplanted them into some cheese container with leftover cheap potting mix I had for ornamentals. Since I had no dedicated lighting, I placed the plant in a window sill. It worked out and grew leaves, until my cat decided that the plant was an enemy. I then knew that gardening was one of my things. It's not for everyone.

If you want medical strains try Alphakronik. Theyre website lists the type of medical benifits for most of the plants they sell. Theyre a breeder and i dont know if you can get seeds from the website but most seed banks carry their gear. Im doing stephen hawking kush right now to try and help a friend who gets random seizures.

Wow, thanks you guys.. :)
Gardening is something we do reasonably well.. Both Mum and I are going to grow it and mum is a girl who got her whole family eating only homegrown foods.. The farm is entirely self sufficient for a lot of the growing season (I'm so proud of my mum!)
So we have confidence that we will be able to produce a viable plant..

I'll be using those links you've provided too..
lash666 we have signed Dad up for the trial on mulloways, that's awesome!
And I'm checking out the site you gave me too Alienwidow..

Do any of you guys actually use for cancer or similar? What's your experience?

I've grown weed for a good long while but just recently" 3 years or so" I started growing medical for my dad. He has degenerative disk disease, Leukemia and god knows what else lol. Anyway he had been on chemo pills for years and now he's off of them , his cancer is in remission and they can't detect cancer cells in his blood work now.... His platelets have gotten progressively better over the last .... You guessed it 3-4 years.!!!! His quality of life is 75% better than it was.. God I love ganja!!!! Am I saying his " C" won't return? No, but this is VERY promising... Good luck my guy

You have a strong family and that is what is most important. Here are a couple of links that you may find interesting. Watch the video, it is quite something.

If your going to grow some, try and find a strain that has a high CBD percentage. It's the CBD that does the magic.

I'm going to make some of the Rick Simpson oil using this link.

Had my prostate removed 2 weeks ago. Biopsy found cancer a few months back and the doc suggested removal. Been quite the journey. Going to see him today for the pathology report. Fingers are crossed.

Sending positive thoughts your way!!!
