The Car Talk Thread

that's my thinking at least, as i can't really imagine them doing much else with them, unless maybe they'll fit the new part and sell them off after wards in an attempt to get some cash back, but idk how a major recall like this works tbh.. i could see some potential law suits if they handled it the wrong way..

and yah, you know most of these engines are low mileage as it's only the '14 models that are effected as far as i know, and i'd think most people who have gt3's don't use them as a daily driver..
If you had the money to buy one, why wouldn't you drive it everyday?

because if i had the money to afford a porsche 911 gt3, i probably also have 3 other cars, one probably being something good for the bad weather, like a porsche cayanne or a range rover, and a nice, just every day driver, like idk, maybe, shit, let me think, a bmw or something along those lines..
my point being, if you can afford a car like a gt3, more then likely you also have several other cars like i said, that you'd beat around in during the week for the most part..

that is a very good point, i didn't think that far.. Either way this is a pretty big cock up for Porsche, you would have thought that a company like that would have have attention to detail, especially with something like a loose fitting. Did they not put this car through its paces before putting it in the showrooms? Seems as they would be driven around a race track by some owners? Someone is going to get their ass kicked for this.

I'll probably open up a can of worms here, but what do you think is the best older midsize truck? I'm trying to find an old beater to whip around for work. Found a 97 nissan ext cab 4x4 5sp with 118k for $2000. You grease monkeys got any input?

Agree. Neo, check your area for impound auctions. Some killer deals to be had. My friend just bought a clean 2010 F150 for 9k.

try and track down one of the old small toyota pick up trucks! you cant kill them! top gear took one, crashed it, sunk it in the ocean over night, hit it with a wrecking ball, set it on fire, etc. and it kept going strong lol.

Yeah my grandpap had one, as far as I'm concerned the Toyotas are the cream of the crop, problem is they hold an unrealistic resale value.

Well a few of us had a good time the other day talking about cars on here so I decided to start a thread dedicated to car talk. so sit back, subscribe, lets talk some cars :D

First off my favorite car has to be the Pagani Zonda. You just cant beat the sound of their V12
View attachment 2510198

Well Pagani made a new car somewhat recently called the Huayra and stopped producing the Zonda. I was a little pissed until I heard the words "twin turbo" describing this new car. Which puts quite a twist on things for me personally being a HUGE turbo fan. So despite previously writing off the company for stopping production of my favorite car I watched a little review and test drive video on it I would like to share with you guy. It certainly changed my mind about the car. All I can say is....BAD ASS! check it out and feel free to skip the first 3 minutes of BS in the video and around 9:45 is when he really starts to drive it if you want to skip to the good stuff.

That's a fucking beast. I so wish I could race around with that baby. Can never afford it :(

i'm pretty sure not many of us here can, but it never hurts to have dreams, plus, around my way, they have a super car rental place where you can rent all kinds of killer stuff by the hour or the day to get some fun in.. it's not crazy expensive either from the few price quotes i've seen.. :D

Anyone wanna buy a slightly used Vdub? The AC smells like puke, and the interior is a little sticky, but at least it doesn't run well.
