The student finally attempts to grow.

Here are the autos at 2 and a half weeks old. They are smaller than the photos by about 50 %. I'm not sure why. I've just sprayed them with brassinolide at 0.1ppm around 3 days ago. (literally just as this picture was taken) then I've been away from home since. I'm excited to get back tonight and see how they're coming along! If it was a success I may spray the photos with 0.1ppm of brass too.

I've fed them all some calcium nitrate, mixed with Epsom Salts, some weak canna start nutrients and AN brand Voodoo juice, with some potassium Silicate. As well as some seaweed extract I made in the lab with 8 different species of macro and Microalgae I'm currently working with.

I think I've given them all so much heavily concentrated seaweed extract that is full of cytokinins and auxin which may be inhibiting the stem and leaf growth, whilst promoting the roots. I'm trying to correct this now by applying the brassinolide. And I may try some triacontanol too in a few days time.

Thinking about when to top / FIM the photos and when to start LST on the autos. I have some AN Nirvana and AN tarantula on the way too.

Okay so it's been a while since I last posted. Been really busy with my master thesis. And also nobody really got involved with my grow log so I'm just making a pic album instead.

Anyway, alot has happened. I tried to LST the autos but I think I messed them up. It seemed to really stunt them. They didn't grow much at all and they are all now flowering at only 12". Even the one I didnt lst. So I'm thinking maybe something else stunted them.

I took the pots out finally to set up a grow tent instead of my congested warddrobe and I realised the bottom half of the soil was compacted and solid like a brick. So the cramped togetherness Probably caused them to stunt as they only had access to half of the 15L pots. And they only seemed to get stunted at week 3 where I also happened to lst them.

I was a bit rough with the lst though. Think I squished the top leaves on a few of them and also I had them bent 90degrees horizontal. The lst didnt really add anything. They have around 7-9 bud branches / bud sites each but they are all short length. Wondering whether to get rid and start again.

This is them now at 5.5 weeks. I also had a CFL Bulb explode and catch fire yesterday.

Currently using a 600w HPS, switched out the metal halide this week. Occasionally I add in a 200w actual draw led on 2 of the plants. I give them around 14-15h a day of the HPS and led. With around 4 hours of the led and 125w CFL and 6 hours of dark.

The photo plants are looking good too. Still vegging under 500w draw led will be switching to 12 12 soon

I'm hoping for 6 oz total from those 6 autos but it doesn't look like I'll achieve that. Vertical growth is now stopping on some of them. In particular back row middle and she's small, and bottom right. They're both GG autos. The pic in last post are the autos.

Anyway here are some pics of the photoperiods. I attempted FIM on some but it only worked on a couple of them.

They got a N deficiency and yellow lower leaves at some point after a transplant and some LST. I suspected either nute lock out or the roots not going into the new soil because the old soil felt hard and separate from the new when I checked. But I hope theyre taking hold

This was how I LSTed them. They were looking quite fragile. After a day or 2 they began appearing mangled. (the autos).

And oh yeah I have this weird mutant plant. It emerged with yellow shrivelled Cotyledons and just didn't grow or do anything for about 2 weeks. Then it suddenly sprang unto life after I fed it alot of different things and sprayed hormones onto it. It first grew two regular single finger fan leaves. Then all sorts of weird shaped leaves. With strange branching / node and leaf styles. Then I realised it seemed kinda mainlined, it just keeps sprouting new main stems from its central point. So far it has sprouted 7 in total that I can see, big and small. and I am tying them to the edge of the pot when they get long enough.

It's a real strange plant, this one. I'm intrigued to see what it does. Anyone got any idea? It grew from two single finger leaves to this state in Just 2 weeks, and it seems to be growing faster and faster.

Heyy people. Been battling some nute issues with the photo plants. They're exhibiting yellowing / pale tips, leaves curling up and falling off and dark green foliage. Think it may be a N excess. They were showing N deficiency first about 2 weeks to a week ago. (red stems, yellowing leaves moving up the plant). They were given a big load of fish blood and bone meal. They were also transfered to their final pots of 4gallon / 15L when the first N deficiency showed. Seems like I nuked em with too much N to compensate. Looking to flush them.

Autos have sprung up. I dropped a carbon filter and destroyed 1 gorilla glue :( but the short sweet by heavyweight and 2 girl scout cookies have stretched to almost 2ft. I've been giving them Nirvana, big bud, bud candy, potsil, seaweed extract I made, previously gave Voodoo juice and tarantula. And some plant magic platinum recently (super concentrated PK supplement). Started a couple who flowered first onto overdrive by advanced nutrients.

The buds are still small and not very dense yet. Even on the first to flower, only her man cola looks like it has more than an 8th on it haha.

Are they looking okay for this stage? They've been going for 6 or 7 weeks and some have hardly started making buds yet. Supposedly they have only 2 weeks left. I'm worried I'm just going to get fluff! I think I may have been feeding nitrogen too long? Although since most of them have only stopped vertical growth recently, and have healthy green even a lil on the pale side... I should be okay if I switch to bloom nutes on all of them now, and push them to 11 weeks instead of the 8 or 9 advertised?

This is a girl scout cookies main cola. Her buds don't seem to join up, just remain as individual balls. Same on all the GSC really.
