just dealing with the water pipe that broke in my studeo, thank pot it was not in the mane house. lol
Oooo,,, Been there! But in the house.
Under kitchen sink. Town flushed the lines on a weekday after we went to work and blew out the cold water under the faucet.
Ran throughout the house and down the basement stairs.
8" in the basement. Had to replace much of the flooring, all carpets, some low wood work and more. Was a big mess for the summer. Had to take time to dry it all out in 80% humidity (summer). Then everything needed to be sprayed again and let set for mold and all.
Don't EVER want to do that again!!!! (Ugh!)

FLIP DAY! 1 day later than wanted - buisy

Day 57 / 12 days since last update

Things sorta got carried away and tons of defoliation / pining / etc. needed. Going to wait a few days before cloning. Crap happened and simply not ready (again).

Start ------------> End (for day)

Was getting pretty choked up,, a little whacking and all's better. Seeing about 1/2 doz. clones hanging there.

What can I say? I just love this girl. Gonna have a bunch of babies off it soon.

My buddy Jack! Sure am glad there's cloning material there. Have an extra light, timing maybe good for a Jackie only grow in the basement. Hmmmm....

BW -

57m.jpg57n.jpg574.jpg57o.jpg57p.jpg

Being sooo indica,, expected better. Notice the lack of clone potential? Reminds me of a dead fart gone sour.

Thoughts-
Clones willbe taken by end of next week.
If these were grow as "Mothers", I'd be looking good for short, compact growing here. Just maintaining wouldn't be a problem. But you'd need to keep pruning back or it'll get wild in another month.

Another update when I pull the clones and final groom for buds. Otherwise, it'll be the same old / same old for a few months.

Half suspect the BW willbe taking off in about 2 weeks of 12/12.

To - Do List-
Swap CFL for HPS fixture
Re-charge filter
Louver door bottom
Hook-up blower

But for now, flush & feed time.

love it!!!!! i think its brilliant. will you post pics of the redo of your setup? that would be super cool. hahahaaa "dead fart gone sour"

I am talking of removing fan leaves on day 18 of flower~nothing to do with topping.bongsmilie
I don't remove leaves any other time as it seems to stunt the plant, If you guys are interested check out MrDizzle, and Jackmayoffer tests.
They have done several documented grows trying different defoliation techniques, and day 18-21 is the generally consencous.
I know some folks swear by never removing a single leaf, but I too have had the best results following this schedule.

hey im wondering can u provide links for these as im am on week 3 of flowering sativas atm and would like toknow a lil more before i rape allher leaves!! have u tried this urself??
also can u provide links for the afoementioned 2 gorws as i cant find em please?

Cloning Day (and settlin into flower)

Day 62/5 days since last update

Pretty basic stuff. Using a simple Bontone Rooting Powder and into prepped MG Moisture Control. Cab was fired up yesterday and converted into cloning mode. Essentially temps regulated to 80 - 85F, 1 small CFL, Heating pad, and a pan of water to keep humidity high a few days.
Don't need a dome because the air flow is regulated and humidity is induce with the water on the heating pad. Area is kept small at 17 X 14 X 18 high.
CC1.jpg Temps drop fast w/ door open.

Laughing Buddha (sativa)

5 days ago ----> start today --(progress)----> end of day
57c.jpg62a.jpg62c.jpg62b.jpg62d.jpg62e.jpg

Very basic. Cut, keep wet, slice on angle, dip in hormone, jab into dirt, water.
Water...... wet / flushed them out yesterday w/ oxygenated water. Today after cloning, Water (1/2 cup peroxide / gallon) of oxygenated water. about equal to cup size and tapped on counter to help settle around roots. No biggie, easy, simple, effective.
Also trimmed and retied the plant some.
Others will pretty much be the same so I'll just do some pictures without words.
(Oooops,,, labels corrected on cups)

Blue Widow nothing to clone here

57o.jpg62n.jpg62o.jpg

Thoughts,
Hope someone can appreciate how small and compact a Mom can be this way. Largest plant was around 6" high from the dirt. Even the sativa can fit a smaller cab with this.
Unfortunately,, sometimes, for some reason, it does NOT always work the way one hopes. The indica is a stuborn cuss. Honestly think it'll be catching up in the next couple of weeks (maybe).

Was still some more that could of been cut for cloning,, but ran out of room. However, if they croak I'll be able to run again in a week or so.

Next stop,,, "growing buds, not leaves". Let's see if we can get us some?
Going to get fairly boring for a spell. May end up not updating as often. But, it will continue none the less.

So for now, the kids are in bed...
62p.jpg 62q.jpg

.... and the Moms are enjoying a relaxing social gathering before lights out.
62r.jpg

As for me? Break Time!!!!! :-P:lol::leaf:

Until next time... :peace:

Ooops Memo!
I forgot to mention,, the cups used w/ clones have 3 holes each for draining. These clones willbe flushed with oxygenated water & peroxide every 4-5 days or when they start to dry, whichever comes first. That Moisture Control is great stuff when you figure it out. I always have concerns about roots getting oxygen. Staying in the same stale water all the time with little added has always been a concern of mine. I think that's where a lot of people have trouble cloning and having it take.
Each clone also has 2 nubs minimum underground. Complete with baby leaves & hairs.

Actually, the moms(?) are 5 days into 12/12.
The clones will veg for about 1 week after roots show / transplant and that maybe about 3 weeks because the cups are a little fuller than a peat pellet.

LOL,,, I tend to think on my own more than believe what I read / hear. You'll not probably see me in too many post / threads because,,, well, because... ;-)
TONS of good intended missinformation running around unchecked. I'd just as soon not try to get into pissing matches. :weed: Like you noticed,,, I don't do anything... right. LOL

Thank you for the interest. :leaf:

Yo Canon, I had to re-read your thread and I must admit I'm impressed and curious to see this project to the end. Now that the mothers are in the flowering stage, are you going to let them grow out or continue defoliating them? With the clones, once you transplant them are you going to defoliate them until you put them to flowering? As a newbie, you get so much conflicting information it becomes overwhelming. I want to know if leaves play as much of an important role in growing the buds as people claim. So cheers to you Canon, you rebel:) Please keep updating!!

Yo Chief! Glad you stopped in.

Yo Canon, I had to re-read your thread and I must admit I'm impressed and curious to see this project to the end. Well, Thank you. :-o Now that the mothers are in the flowering stage, are you going to let them grow out or continue defoliating them? By the time the sugars show,, there'll not be a fan anywhere of any size. With the clones, once you transplant them are you going to defoliate them until you put them to flowering? Some will be medical donations. Honestly, don't know yet what the hell to do with them! I'm trying to set up a "summer grow room". Right now,, their Homeless. :o;-)As a newbie, you get so much conflicting information it becomes overwhelming. I want to know if leaves play as much of an important role in growing the buds as people claim. So cheers to you Canon, you rebel:) Please keep updating!!
Thanks. I will continue,,,, maybe longer than you want to watch! :-P

By-the-way,, Just opened the door to the cab to check the clones.... there's fog in there!:clap::clap: Even smells like a hothouse.

" I want to know if leaves play as much of an important role in growing the buds as people claim. " - You know,,, there is one way to know for sure don't you?
