Think Different 1 Gallon: Topped+LST

Comments/suggestions are welcome.

It was topped very early, around the 3rd or 4th node (before you should prob top a plant that has time to recover well) so that it wouldn't be wasting so much energy since there is no point rooting the cutting. Because the part that was cut off was still so tiny, one of the axillary buds must've not gotten clipped and is now growing in the middle as you can see.

It should already have 12-13 tops if no more lst is done to it. Can easily bump it to 20+ tops though with one more nodes worth of the same lst.

Comments and suggestions are always welcome if they are constructive/positive. Not asking for an answer. Just saying if anyone has something to say, feel free to post it.

You should put that in at least a 5 gallon container, so the plant can grow to its full potential. What size light will she be under?

T5 high outputs.

Updated OP to show one weeks growth starting when it was topped.

I've got mine in a 5 gal smart pot. First time growing this strain so I wanted to see how she reacts to her environment before I SCROG it on my next run...she is DEF meant to be SCROG'd...can't wait to see the comparison potentials!

I'm gonna start the same strain in a 2.5gal smartpot.. Just wanna top it now that I've seen what Hazy did!!

Do you think that you might have slowed her down just a bit?

Well, my t.d just finished drying. Qp. Sativa buzz with an Indy structure. The opposite of dense buds. I won't mess with TD anymore. You guys can see pics of the gal at 110 days and learn what environment/container she was in if you look at my post titled "dp td".

Thats a shame.


So far there should be 21 tops on this plant if it starts ore flowering before growing another node or two on each branch which would be another 8-16 tops.

I like your aggressive lst. That should work well with the t-5!

First pistils are showing today. Pre-Flower stretch should commence this week! Considering sacrificing a branch or two for Colloidal Silver treatment to get fem seeds. So far ga3 has ruined 3 TD plants instead of making them grow pollen sacs and ~20-40ppm cs didn't do anything so 250ppm might be used, or diluted to about 50-150ppm and then used.

Same thing for me no luck, maybe 50-150ppm will do the trick. Plz let us know if you do and your results. I have a bean left, I would love to make it work.

My TD bud were nice and dense, I get on avg 200g dry. Tho they took 12-14 weeks but you get buds like this.


Tho I'm basicaly out and this is my last pop corn bud it's 6g

No clue lol but it shouldnt be more than 2 weeks before it starts full on flowering

What size pot did you grow it in and did you train it at all? How many colas were there?

I use 2g air pots with coco. Train them, well yes and no, for the most part I just let them go. But I do like to stake them out, to open up the center for the first 4 weeks. Then once stretch has slowed, I crush break bend what ever I have to do to the stems to try and even the canopy. TD respond well to LST topping and MILD pruning of fan leafs. How many colas??? Hard question, I mean I dont shoot for a set number I let the plant decide. I get on avg 8-12 colas that range from 16-30g. I yet to grow 1 TD that was under 100g. I hit 1.2g/watt and Im not even dialed in on them yet. I think dialed in with 4 plants in a scrog with a 600 hps I could hit 1.5/watt easy.

I do love how you started your lst, I actually used your method on my seedling today. Hope it will open my girls up from the get go.

Thing about autos is they Veg and Flower at the same time so they dont stop their growth towards the light, until about 10 weeks.
