This dog will die ... by my hands

By the same logic, you should start capping every dog in your neighborhood, on your kid's route to school, heck, let's kill all the dogs. There are some humans out there who could cause harm too. Let's preemptively take them out before they get the idea of doing something evil.
That's faulty logic, all the dogs in the neighborhood have not exhibited extraordinarily agressive behaviour towards every member of my family. All the dogs in the neighborhood are also not 170 lbs of muscle and teeth.

how so? if some one is breaking in i want to be able to say attack and i want my dog to tare the person up. i dont want a dog who gets up and looks at them wagging his tail. so that being said commanding him to do something is part of being protected
I understand where you are coming from. I have nothing against trained animals, I just do not believe it is in their best interest to be aggressive on command.

Just an opinion, ya know?

I am one of those "PETA" people and I definitely know how you feel. My parents dog (a small breed) recently attacked my 1 1/2 year old son. He bit him on the arm, abdomen, and face. The dog is old as hell and he is blind. My alternitive to euthanasia is complete separation of the kids and animal. If it happends again I will deal with the animal.
thank you.. see, that's what a rational thinking person would do.. ok, i've had one incident with this dog and my kid, so i'm not going to take my kid back into that situation alone again..
it's like giving your 5 year old to micheal jackson while he was alive and bein surprised that your kid ended up getting molested on the fifth visit...

i agree with you on this 100 percent. my dog does not participate in fights at all though and was trained properly without abuse. and yes vick should have got at least 10 years
I agree with you. Vick shouldn't be playing in the NFL at all (sorry Eagles fans).

Drug the dog with powerful sleeping pills, then put it in your car and take it to the pound in a different city. Tie it to a pole in front of the pound and go about your life.

see, i'm soo not a football fan, believe that, but i do think that someone who has committed a crime and has done their punishment is entitled to be able to live their life again after they get out of jail, probation, what have you... yah, he's an animal killing fuckwad, but he was also arrested and did his time, isn't that what the justice system is for? why the need to continue to punish a criminal who's supposedly paid their debt to society??

If it was just me who is responsible for the welfare of my child then yes this would be an appropriate solution. However I work at least 50 hours a week and sometimes travel on business for up to a week at a time. I know, at a minimum my wife will be exposed to this animal again if something is not done in the not too distant future.

He advocates AGAINST dog fighting now. HAHAHAHA

Like people actually believe his ass. If he didn't get caught he would still be fighting pits.

well then, that's on the mother in law.. they don't have a yard or some place that they can put the animal up when people come over to visit??
like i just said, our last dog would bite anyone of a dozen people who tried to come in our house the second they set foot through the door, but we knew this.. he was abused as a pup before we got him, and therefore had trust issues, but when ever say my one sister came over, the dog went out in the yard, or in the kitchen with a gate he couldn't get past, BEFORE, they set foot one in the front door..
the dog was over 14 years old when we just had him put down a few months ago, and not one member of my family, other than us, lol, were ever bite by the dog because we were responsible with it..

I had a Lab that for the 1st 2-3 years, he fuckin bit everyone, he loved us and the kids and never tried to turn on us, he was always protecting us when it happen ( in his mind), but friends, family, an intruder, all got at least one nip from him, usually on the ass,and most of the time it was the people walking in unanounced...after that he was always cool with them...( except the intruder )...but anyways, he's 13 now and the best watch dog I've ever had....there were times when I wanted to kill him, but almost everytime it was someone coming in the yard or house without warning, he was just protecting his space....and never a kid, just adults got it

Anyways, he's a great dog, he's laying on the couch next to me right now...and I sleep good at night knowing he's there.
I'm glad I didn't kill him. Good Luck

well, of course we don't believe it, but of course this was part of his punishment.. being a public figure, peta all thought it would make sense to pressure the guy to come out and say that he's against animal abuse, which we all know is bs, but that's not really his fault, that's the courts and our justice system at it's finest.. :)

So you have an issue of trust with your wife there that you should work out. She got bitten the last time she went over there; why would she go again (with or without you and your son)? She must clearly understand that it is not safe there. Is she extremely close to her mother? Is the dog an empty-nest child substitute for your in-laws? Is your mother-in-law a depressed sort of person?

Point is, it's not just the dog, it's the entire situation. Your in-laws don't confine the dog when folks come over. Why? Have you asked them that specific question? If you asked them to, would they do it?

thank you, this is sort of the way our dog was as well, except it wouldn't just let you in the second time after biting you the first time, lol, but he did pretty much the same exact behaviors..
and of course we miss the mean old mutt extremely, he was great with us, just no sort of outsiders, which is fine if you deal with those situations accordingly..

thats some funny shit, and i really do hate anyone that could ever be cruel to any animal, it really doe's make me sick, but at the same time, our justice system is surly flawed.. but i do know that if i did a crime and went to jail and did everything the courts told me to do to be free, i'd expect to be able to go on and live a life and what not..

I wanted you to know that I believe the dog should be put down. If it was mine it would be down or I'd give to a junk yard downtown.

Thanks Winter, not something I want to do. I am not excited or full of righteous revenge here, just honestly concerned for the welfare of my family. My mother in law is a nut job and sooner or later she will guilt my wife into returning to her house. Maybe I'll just feed it an ambien and he'll wake up at a junkyard.

Had my lab for 17 years. Loved him like a person. He behaved better than my husband. lol.

My husband lost his dog, Bentley, the English Bulldog just a few years ago and his eyes still tear up
