Too much light?

I just transplanted my girls from 5 gallon smart pots into 15 gallon Smart Pots. I had previously had all my girls in one room, but after transplanting them they took up more space so I moved half of the girls into my other room, we will call it room 2.

Room 1 has 1000 watt MH bulbs.
Room 2 has 1000 watt HPS bulbs.

So I come in two days later and the girls in room 2 look really droopy. Girls in room one are completely fine.

The new growth in room 2 is really rigid. They looked a little bit thirsty so I gave them water. The surface temperature of the leaves was about 85 degrees and the room was about 80. The lamps are 26" to 30" above the canopy.

I was hoping it was just a problem with water, but I come in today and they are still droopy. A little better but it's obviously not water. From what I've read they droop down to conserve water. The surface temperature today is 70. The room is about 70 as well. They are all properly watered. So that leaves me to think that the lights are too close. From what I've read go the distance seems to be fine. They aren't burnt at all.

Is it heat stress? Does it just take a few days to recover from heat stress? Although, in my outdoor I've had the girls get way hotter, so I feel like 85 degrees shouldn't be too problematic. Help?

I would guess a combination of transplant shock and maybe overwatering. Let them dry out for a few days, until they need water. They'll bounce back.

I know it's not overwatering. They are under the exact same conditions including watering schedule as the plants in room 1. The only difference is the bulb type and the day that room 2 got into the mid 80s. Thank you for the reply V.

I would see if you can get your light farther away. What light were they under before? Remember the HPS is a hotter bulb with colors in the red orange yellow. And the MH is in the blue more for veg growth. I'm sure they'll bounce back just give them a chance to adjust to there new surroundings. I personal add microbes to the bottom of where I'm setting the roots in the new pot for transplant. Helps with the shock. Also I like to use a foliar spray called hard "n" quick that helps with transplant stresses. Other than that just try and move that bulb back till they get use to the heat. 85 is high especially with out Co2 supplement.

Generally when someone says too much light it's a matter of heat. You can have more light than you need but photons are not going to harm your plant

100w per plant. Why 15 gallon smart pots that is huge, going to take a while for those to root out. What medium are you growing in?
