ya know how if you leave just about anything plastic outside for very long it will fade and get brittle,,, pretty much the same thing. im going to cover mine with spf 15 sun block. lol ima use some lawn furniture spray paint from walmart that "says" it will block harmful uv rays. i dont know how well it works, "i havent ever used it before" but the can says thats what its made to do so maybe it will.

I think I found the perfect uvb bulb. Go to Petguys.com then go to reptile supplies and then lighting scroll all the way down to the bottom right corner ( 48" 10.0 uvb high output fluorescent ) it says it gives the extra uvb rays without the extra heat and its only 21.99 on sale for 16.99 or something like that ( lot lot cheaper than fucking petco and petsmart they wanted 49.99 for their uvb light )

i have 1 here! i started out with this bulb, dint think it grew much so upgraded. it's a t8 repti glo 5.0 uvb lamp. so what your saying is put this in my growdrobe with my other light and it will benifit from it??? i payed £15 for it.

yup, just keep an eye on the plants to make sure you dont cook them

Yes, and cook them they will. Those small tubes that put out UV need to be some distance away from your buds. The UV waves are good up to a meter away, and closer than a foot may damage your foliage.
