Yeah that pointer was hard to take. Good thing I have another computer running so I can double task and just look briefly to get an idea where he was talking about. I did find it interesting how he gathers the information to figure out who is where. And then his saying at places like Avdiivka where the two sides are loosing 50% of their soldiers, we do not get that information regularly.
There is nothing to criticize regarding the content of his blog posts. Maybe I was just cranky. He's working for it I'll give him that.

gasp

He's threatening to attack deep inside of Ukraine!
Joe was warning of tactical nukes the other day, so striking Kyiv with one could be an option, so could causing a nuclear power plant to melt down. They appear desperate and fear a collapse of their army in Ukraine, if that happens the shit will really hit the fan for Vlad.

If Russia detonates a nuke, it is extremely unlikely imo that they’ll use it on a city. They would use it on a concentration of fighters.

Ukraine has not presented such a target. Their forces are well-dispersed. One or two nukes in the 20-kt class won’t achieve much, except to bring Nato down on their heads.

Whatever happens, it's going to be ugly...My biggest concern would be the russians finally starting to use their airforce. I'm not sure how much they have left in the way of arms and ammunition for that airforce, but even a few successful battlefield strikes would hurt the Ukrainians badly, and give the russians more propaganda.

Joe mentioned it in a tweet I posted earlier, and it appears the Russians mined the nuke plant cooling system.

They have no trained pilots, poorly maintained aircraft and use mostly dumb bombs, so they need to come in low and are vulnerable to manpads. If these guys were gonna show up in any numbers, they would have done so long ago.

Supposedly half their beloved White Swans (Nato name Blackjack) are flyable. They can lift a bigger load than anything else. However they are not especially stealthy, and would probably be short work for Patriot.

They appear to generate much NOx on takeoff.

They sold their fuel on the black market instead of training pilots, they sold their fighter aircraft around the world and the military stole spare parts for them and sold them on the black market. The more high tech the military service the more vulnerable to corruption and the more valuable the equipment with the airforce followed by the navy and finally the army, they were among the biggest gas stations in Russia before the war. I think corruption is the answer as the where the Russian airforce is, corruption is endemic and permeates all levels of society. The fish rots from the head down and they were led by the example of those at the top of the corrupt shit pile.

Does not have to be a large city, just big enough to let them know they are serious. What have they got to lose? If they lose the war the bunch in chare will be taking instant flying lessons.

If they nuke a civilian population center, we will likely be treated to a lesson in the capabilities of Nato air power, with the B-2 front and center. It would make Iraq look like a school play.
