The plants are warming up to the new light nicely! I know this is the lesser exciting part of the grow so I kept the video short and sweet. The burn on the leaves was my fault, I let the plants get a little too close to the T5.

I am LOVING this Black Dog unit so far! Look at the difference between last video and this one and you will see why! Everything is budding up nicely and the colas are going to be magnificent.

Chop crop time! These ladies have lived a nice and full life, and now it is time to wait for the weight. I will update with a dry weight in approx 10-14 days.

Black Dog LED has thoroughly impressed me with their product. This was the first 5w grow I completed and I am surprised how great the penetration and footprint were even with a developed canopy. I had some concern about bleaching but there was none what so ever and the plants remained 10-18" from the lights throughout the entire flowering period. The great benefit to these particular 5w units is the light output while not being too powerful to bleach or harm the plants.

Quality wise, this looks like it could be one of the best crops produced thus far. I am going to lab test these results and post the content so I can compare them against the resulting crop from a 3W LED and HPS lighting to see if there is any difference in content.

Stay tuned for the yield results. Also I have noticed since I started posting videos I have been lacking in commentating on the threads. I apologize for that and I will try to be more explanatory and provide more feedback on future posts.

Does anyone have a preference of pictures over videos? or videos over pictures?

Great stuff wj. Always was interested in the blackdogs. Might have to give them a try down the line. The videos are good, but I like details in the updates so maybe do pics and a summary for the most part with an occassional video in the mix. I understand that it can be sjetchy to put your voice over the video so maybe just more write ups? Whatever you do, I'll be watching. Keep up the great work...what's up for next round?

i always like a just a few good pics of different areas to highlight whats up without watching whole video, but a video every so often would be cool too.

Nice to hear your going to test those at lab i'd love to see what the results are. you have results from same strain with other lights?

they looked frosty as hell and your going to have plenty of triched out sugar leaf trim!

@Shwagbag - Awesome I appreciate the feedback. Videos are my favorite to do and I will definitely keep them coming, but for a change of pace I pulled out the macro lens and the still camera.
@Puff - Thank you and I appreciate your feedback. I will definitely try to be more through in the explanations like I used to in addition to also trying to mix it up a bit between pics and videos.
@Prez - Good to see you still watching brother man! I'll definitely make sure to get pics up more often. All of the tests thus far ranging back to then Penetrator 336X Pro have been the same strains under the same condition with the only variable being the lights.

Plant 2 76.1

Plant 5 70.5

Total: 424.2 Grams (the 6th plant aka the test plant came out to 86.7)
TONIGHT IS PARTY TIME IN THE GARDEN FOR BREAKING A POUND FROM MY FIRST 5w LED GROW!!!

The Black Dog LED has held its own and thus far it is my favorite light that I have tested.

GrowBlu LED is a close overall second, and one of the my only complaints a little bleaching when directly under the UV bulb. I prefer the GrowBlu construction over the Black Dog LED, but the yield is the deciding factor putting Black Dog in the lead as my favorite LED to date.

The quality speaks for itself on the macros. I would guess 20-23% range. I was going to get the bud tested but I have heard a lot of negative stuff about the testing facility near me about being inaccurate on readings. I am going to do a little more investigating and then I will update on whether I decide to test or not.

Questions, comments, concerns and/or suggestions are always welcomed. Thank you to all past/present/future who visit this thread!

@NightRider - Thank you I am so stoked! The quality and quantity is all I could ask for out of a 4x4 tent!
@jigfresh - Glad to have you on the thread. I have tested a few more lights then the title says, so feel free to ask if you have any questions. One love.

I am open so suggestions from anyone out there considering purchasing a specific make/model of LED. I will highly consider (pun intended) testing the ones with the most interest first so feel free to comment.
