Ah ha I finally found a good miracle grow thread.... i have to admit i use promix soil, because i was taught by a good friend on how to grow weed and what can i say thats what he uses and he gets awesome results with it along with BC nutes Grow,Boost,Bloom....so while i started a garden with him at his place and was learning to grow, i couldn't resist to practice at my house with a cfl set-up in a small growcab that i built from some old kitchen cabinets that i was gonna throw away when i re-modeled my kitchen...i used bag seed..mylar from the dollar store(balloons),6 27 w cfls and 2 42 watt cfl's(almost 16,000 lumens)...my goal was to try to grow some decent buds for a budget under $150.00 ..because i saw all the $ we were spending on my other grow with my friend(between soil and nutes was like $200 alone..) i made a homeade cfl's fixtures(i'm an electrician.. big advantage) with some romex wire and some porcelin pull-chains cost abot $40.00 I spent another $40.00 on bulbs(even got extras) bought a ge digital powerstrip timer $20.00 and i made my own Ghetto promix with MG products 6months potting mix $6.00 and perlite $5.00 and peat moss $6.00 ..and a 8" desk fan for circulation $15.00 for a toal of 132.00...i was lucky with my bag seed got 4 females out of six ..i lst'd them all miracle grow ghetto mix flowered them at 9" tall got an average of 25 grams per plant and all i did was use water till like the 2nd week of flowering then i gave them one water with my bc Bloom(and a couple of heavy flushes before harvest)..and let me tell ya for the little time and effort i put in and the results i got i was shocked!!!(decent bud nice red-hairs with a skunky taste no chemical taste)i thought it was easy all i did was water like once a week and i had a moisture meter...i did the lift the pot thing too put i used the meter also..now i still get killer bud with my buddy(Blue cheese,northern lights.B-9 skunk and averaging almost 40 grams per plant) but we spent over $200 bucks on soil and nutes one day..and then a role of pvc plastic at the hydro store and it was almost 3 bills..(i'm not gonna even talk about the money we spent on lights).i was like holy shit just to grow buds..now i know why there charging $100 a quater ounce for this shit...so when i did my bag seed expieriment and soil cost me about $20 bucks.. and the whole small op for under $150.00(lights included)and i got a great head bag just 75grams...i was sold i'll use miracle grow anytime..great thread guys read it from start to finish keep up the good work...now i show my friends that are economically challenged how to grow there own buds for next to nothing with bag seed some cfl's and MG..some people bash cfl's but if used right you can grow 3 or 4 nice plants(keep them as close as you can to the light)..keep them short.. and you will get dense bud..trust me..lived it...and just use water with MG and you will be just fine it actually so easy i think to grow with it newbies over think an analize and you can't do that with MG just water and wait.... it works trust me!! I'm not saying its better but 20 grams per plant.. $18.00 for 3 BAGS of soil and just plain water now thats pretty effiecient and cost effective.... peace guys..

Oh yeah... During Veg i used liquid sea weed in my foilage sprayer..just a couple of drops to your sprayer with water when you foilar feed and the plants love it..it has little micro nutrients that the leaves and stems love... i highly recomend it...i stop using it a week into flowring.. i don't want my plant any heavier than its gonna already be..you can get some at walmart for like $10 for a big bottle that will last a long time...not everyone is in to foilar feeding,but if you are and it works for you i highly recomend the liquid seaweed...and it has no adverse affect with pre-nuted potting soil(that i've seen)...one more thing i've learned in the SHORT 2 1/2 years of growing...if it works for you.. in your enviorment and your budget.. and your happy with the results..stay consistant with it and you will grow good buds everytime.. peace

works great in moderation. Just have to flush constantly from the salt buildup. Prefer bat shit myself but its cheap and gets the job done. Not much else to say about it really....

I used MG and scotts and I mixed the two and added some cow manure and it worked great so far, then I had a couple bags of scotts left and all my plants were yellow or had no pigment and were growing awful til I sprayed it with some Fox Farm hydo fert and within a day they were almost all dark green and healthy looking...when I was in highschool we always thought the fluffy bud that gave headaches was grown in miracle grow but idk if that was just a rumor, since my buds grown in it don't look shitty like these did...so idk for sure. The bags of MG said they had enough nutes for 3 months, but since I vegged for 4 months and accidentally bonzaid em and have been feeding straight water and agave nectar for the last week and a half...I expect to start cutting next week. I have cut one cola that was all milky trichs except the newest growth was still clear but I didn't notice til I cut it...great work so far...

That bud in the 1st pic looks like 2 of the buds I had burned the tops of em and 3 buds started growing out of the top...

I cant believe that so many people talk shit about MG. It is the #1 selling potting soil in the WORLD!!! You would think after 25 years a large enough group of people would call bullshit and they would be out of business if their product was so bad? The problem is that there are way too many people on here that either have a vested interest in another product (ie. own a hydro store or other retail) or they just ride the dick of the last guy that posted on any particular thread. I see the same thing with seed bank reviews all the time. I can post how Seed Boutique has a 6 for 6 record with 13 days max shipping time and some idiot will go "they suck use Attitude". If you are a dick rider or a person with a vested interest you shouldn't even be reading this because you already have it all figured out and if you plant in MG and your plants die YOU KILLED THEM not the #1 selling soil in the world.

I agree. I'd only add that the MG soil is a bit 'hot' for seedlings; use the lighter stuff for that. (never had a prob with clones)
The #1 mistake with MG soil is people using nutes on it, then wonder why the plants burned/died. (gee, its been double nute'd) Also flushing can make it worse, you just keep the time release wet, releasing more. (probably better off watering with the pH off to block nute take up)
I would amend the soil a bit with a little lime, peat moss and a bunch of perlite, but no nutes outside of a *single* bloom booster around week 5 and some molasses and epsom salt in flowering. (strain loved mag)

Well, for my veg cycles I personally use Schultz (green liquid food) 10-15-10 plant food.. I'll even use it all the way through the second week of flowering.. then I'll switch over to my "secret" flower nutes. Won't say what I use during flowering.. sorry. 
It's my own custom mix of certain substances.. and I've always had luck with it... so i won't switch over to anything else.
Here's a hint though.. its got molasses mixed in with it..
Plants just love molasses.. I remember the first time I used that stuff. I could tell a difference in the plants the next day.. stuff does amazing things for your plants. If you haven't tried using molasses yet.. I would suggest giving it a go.
U can use it throughout the whole entire plants life cycle.. from veg all the way to harvest. Great stuff.
