what about seeds?

how do i cut through the BS? there are so many seed companies offering different price ranges, how should i go about finding a good seed company. Just when my research was having me lean towards "Barney's" seeds, i stumble onto this other forum of haters hating on barney, and greenhouse seeds. they went so far as to say that Barney's riggs the cannabis cup, so they'll win constantly and sell more seeds. wtf?

then i was looking at thseed's mk ultra, but i found that it's not stable.

is it possible to have stable phenos in hybrid cannabis? if so, who's got em?

was looking at soma seeds, seem to be pretty expensive, is it \worth it? how do i know what's a good price to pay? when i started i bought ten afghan seeds from a random dealer but since i figured they were selling pure land race genetics it probably didn't matter who bred them. probably alot easier to keep stable with a strain the just grows naturally dank. all my afghans looked alike, and as they should, a nice dark green leaf, fat, serrated. no weird hempy phenos.

at any rate, who do you trust for seeds? why? is it you only go one company for this and another for that based on word of mouth references? or what?

and i saw one company dog nuts selling seeds for crazy money, like 300$ for 10? wtf is that?

I ordered mine through Nirvana. Everyone has a different opinion and if you look into any supplier you'll find some bad reviews.

Attitude is huge, plenty of customers and ships almost anywhere. They wouldn't be that big selling ditch weed.

Plenty of places to choose from if you know what you're looking for.

Keep in mind that it's illegal so there's always risk of getting confiscated.

you seem to have summarized the seed business pretty nicely
you will get to a point where reading will drive you a bit crazy, you're going to find bad posts on every company/breeder if you look long enough
so where to start? you seem to have a pretty good handle on a number of breeders, it's a bit of a crap shoot
my personal experience was to start with lower priced offerings(nirvana, highgrade-seeds)
i'm happy with my results, could be better, could have been worse

if youre not from the states, i recomend "high supplies" from Amsterdam. very reliable and high quality seeds from there. no presents or gifts though

Like anything else in life, you get what you pay for. If you purchase Wal-Mart quality genetics you will receive Wal-Mart quality genetics. There are a lot of Wal-Mart quality breeders out there offering low priced beans. You can't expect to drive a Bugatti Vyron 16.4 if you purchase a Hyundai.

And a small handful more that are slightly below those mentioned above. The rest are mid-grade breeders, Wal-Mart quality breeders at best and some are pure pollen chuckers at worst. There is one or two pollen chuckers out there trying to blend in with the big dogs and trying to look as skilled by pricing their garbage up with the prices of the true skilled breeders, but for the most part you can tell what breeders to stay away from. They are the ones where when you read a description of a strain and the look at the price and say ... wow .. all that for so little money .... talk about a value ... those are the beans I want.

When you have that thought .... in reality you were just told that those are NOT actually the beans you want to purchase. Not if you want true quality anyway.

I go to the local dope dealers when I want seeds and usually they'll just give them to me. I clone so I only need seeds when I'm first starting a new op.
