What do you guys do with all your trim?

Problem is with the 73u is that it's more difficult to work with IMO. It's like the middle between pure rosin and hash, and can melt through your screen in a bong while bubbling and ends up in your water. That sucks! lol

I mix all my grades together for my bubble hash, not the 160 though! It ends up still soft and pliable, but will not all instantly melt through a single screen when you hold heat to it. If I want to do rosin, I'll press it and use it with my nail. Plus I don't like it when my previously round temple balls look like pancakes at room temperature. I want to duplicate old style black (well a bit more resinous lol) while still holding shape due to the versatility of the medium I guess. But that's just my preference. My balls still flatten out by themselves at room temperature though at bit, so not exactly the hash your grandparents (perhaps me) used to smoke as Afghan back then.

How do u replicate the good old Black hash of the olden days

God I miss that shit

I made rice krispie treats with infused coconut oil. Three of them had me fighting to stay awake. I lost the fight.
How long do you simmer the oil with your hash / bud? I've heard a wide variety from 45 minutes to 2 hours and even more. I really like the coconut oil. It's very light.

I pressed them forever - the 73u ended up dark-chocolate colored - I did have trouble with it melting through at first, but I started cutting my base weed with scissors, that seemed to help the hash stay up top instead of in the downstem.

Our first BOMB outside grow this year. Slowly harvesting the branches as it gets colder and colder. Damn. They just get larger and huge each day we bring in more! Anyway... we plan to make bubble hash for the first time with trim. I've been drying it in a paper bag and then vacuum sealing it between wax paper. Once the harvest is done and the girls are curing, we'll pull it out and play with ice. PS... I am seeing a touch of pm and am washing every branch in soda water, h202 water, and two rinses then hang to dry but still easy to trim. I am excited to get some hash. I'm still and old hippy who remembers how expensive hash was and could never afford it.
You guys and girls were lucky to have access to hash growing up. I grew up in the 90's in Missouri. Mostly mexican brick weed of varying quality loaded with seeds. Good outdoor in the fall every year, but I never even saw hash until I was dam near into my 30's living in Michigan. Now if we're talking meth. That shit was growing on trees. Sadly no hash though ;)

I have a buddy that makes up the infused coconut oil for me, so I'm not sure on the times. I do know that the treats had a lil "green" flavor to them and it was really not too bad. The high kicked my ass though. My boss knew right away the morning after I ate them that I was a lil "off" lol

Well you can get that pretty much the way I said. But strain is important too for getting the associated terpenes that we crave. The black in the old importation days lost all it's most volatile terpenes, leaving the hard persistent notes behind for the taste. But the best was aged a very long time, up to 10 years for the primo real temple balls sold in places like Amsterdam. That was a long time ago now. But the aging/curing process brings about new terpenes through some chemical changes, due to just aging, and you might get something close with a strain like Afghan Hash Plant. But it's fun with other strains too, even if it doesn't have have signature taste that the old black used to have. It always smells that "spicy" thing, and it's very nice high in my opinion.

Your temperature is too high. I get blond colored product even from my blackest hash. Pressing hash is a completely different thing than pressing weed. Less pressure, and perhaps less temperature. You need patience with it, and let it find it's own liquid state as you do it.

Okay I have to tell a story now about pressing hash. After getting my press a few years ago, I figured more pressure is better. I have like 12 tones! LOL

So I put some hash inside the bag, pressed it and gradually increased the pressure to like 12 tones. The bag broke, and it was just a mess of hash mixed with the broken bag. Don't do that shit from my experience. Lol

You aren't saving a significant amount of money by growing your own supply? Jeez man I smoke nearly an ounce every 2 weeks. Even with friend prices that would cost me $180/ounce on the open market. That's almost $400/month. That's half a mortgage payment. Whether or not you are selling it to your registered patients or need the home grown savings you are indeed making money by growing your own.

Moving on to wasting medicine. How's that a good idea? You spend 3 months to grow an indoor crop spending a good amount of money on electricity on top of your labor, and you just throw money and medicine away? To each their own. PM me. I'll give you an address to send that trim to :)
The dude grows a couple tiny plants in a 3x3. Do you blame him for throwing away his whole 3 grams of bubble hash he’d get?
