What do you have right now? See More Buds has a great book called "Buds For Less" that should give you some great ideas about how to get going for less than $100

I got 2 4f growlux bulbs, temp/humidity gauge, light timers, and mg soil mixed with vermiculite for transplanting (so far i got 1 little seedling about 2 days old in a peat pot) and thats about it.

I grew the plant in my av. and 5 others all for around $50... I got 2 X 26w cfl's with a Y splitter for veg.. $14.00... 20-20-20 basic nute fr veg $7... a 10-25-20 sort of ratio for flower, $7..this year I used 10-52-10..(other was sold out).. Now for flower I did outside, this is where the costs go up.. cfl's cool are for veg.. warm has more red spect. but flowering with cfl's I've not done.. I'd say AT LEAst YOU'D NEED SOME t5'S W/RED SPECT. bulb.. a 2 x 22" T5 with hanger and reflect. is about $69.. and the red bulbs are about 19 each.. Bottom line the more light you can buy the better.. even try for a HPS of lower watts ..150, 250,..etc . more light = more weed = :):) Luck.

Also when should i take my plant out of the peat, and how should I do it? I could rip the pot apart and put in a bigger pot or i could plant the whole pot and let the roots grow through. im more concerned about when though

Wait til there's at least 6 nodes, depending on pot size, and replant into larger containers.

Good luck, don't overthink it, there's tons of information out there.

That was waaay off topic :?

2 inches??? Like little cactus pots?

Get them outta there, and put them in something bigger, for seedlings I use 16 oz plastic party cups and transplant into at least a 3 gal pot... Dimensions about 12 in x 12 in or bigger.

Definately don't use those tiny pots.

And if you're doing this in your parent's house, STOP!!!
