What light is better? I need help.

i've got a 30 x 60 inch tent to flower in and i use a 400 watt hps on one side of it and a 200 actual watt led on the other side and thats about perfect coverage, the led saves on heat and electricity, but it cost me twice what the hps did, and its still the bottom of what i consider acceptable.
just running one 400 watt hps in that space keeps it between 80-84 with the lights on, with a 6 inch 240 cfm inline fan running at 75%, so heat can be a real issue, a 1k hps puts off a lot more heat than a 400
Yea I've already canceled the whole 1000w idea but I'ma get a 400 and heat ain't nothing 1 big fan and a window with the sun roof heat will be dunzo. And the plan to grow only two plants will benefit keeping temp down.

I just built a led grow light for my flower room im seeing great results it is a little bigger then my 400 watt but not much light spread out better and chunky nugs with it but it was costly to build it compared to hps/MH

I was running two 400watts and fans bill goes up about 70 dollars a month be carefull on dimming lights I have heard by others that it changes spectrum on you when you turn them down don't know it for fact though if your only going to grow 2-3 plants I would go with the 400 5-7 probably 600 8-10 would be 1000 watt I know on ebay the price is not much different between them that what makes it hard to choose also remember you need almost 3 feet above you canopy with a open hood of 1000watts hope this helps
It does thanks I'ma get a 400w most likely it seems to be the right light . And heat isn't an issue. And even better I can get a better reflector to keep the heat away now that I'm trying to buy and a 1000w lol. Thanks

go this route instead. buy a 315 watt LEC. you can thank me later. way better than a 400 hps, cooler, better spectrum, better results.

its good for about 3x3

if you don't want to go high priced led's, this is second best option. i have one. philips ballast and bulb. put it in a 6" horiz air cooled reflector.

sunsystem is a good option if you don't want to diy. check out growershouse for a bunch of different brands

As big as it needs to be around 5x5ft room would be fairly good I imagine.what difference does it make? And Maurice I would like to get a good starting bulb though I mean eventually I will get better rigs but for now I want to buy the better one from y'alls opinion cause I don't want a expensive inefficient light for my first time lol.
for a grow space that large a 1000 watt MH/HPS combo would be your cheapest and best option. something like this should serve yout need for years, give you good results and focus on growing techniques and testing different strains. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VIVOSUN-400w-600w-1000w-Watt-Grow-Light-Kit-HPS-MH-Air-Cooled-Hood-Set-for-Plant/171938651822?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20131017132637&meid=0e3b3012ca7a4ece931d5a8fcc57c73c&pid=100033&rk=1&rkt=8&sd=171938651822. some one else here may be able to recommend a similar unit at an even lower price. with this kind of light you are starting with what most commercial growers use and will not need to upgrade

Ok i looked into it on YouTube and they explained why they were better and the dude almost nutted in his pants talking about them so I'm definitely gonna go hps. But if I have 2 decent plant 1000w should be well over enough correct? Or could I grow more? Because the room I'm working with isn't large upwards it's around 7-8 ft tall. And two plant wouldn't need but like 2FTx4FTgive or take on the width. And do I have to veg on MH or can veg and flower with hps? Thanks for the help btw.
Make sure you take into consideration that a 1000 watt HPS is going to generate a lot of heat. You will need some way of exchanging the air in the room to control this. I grow 4 plants under a 1000 watt HPS. Right now I have some Jack Herer going, here is a pic... this is 4 weeks into flower.IMG_0270.jpg

What you see in my picture is a light that can be dimmed from 1000 watts to 750 or to 600. I start the plants off at 600 and then kick it up as I grow depending on heat. I always crank it up to 1000 watts around week 3 of flower to push my ladies into blowing up. I have had some leaf yellowing on plants directly under the lights, but if I manage it right it doesn't make a difference in the finished buds. Last grow I yielded over 13 ounces from 4 blue dream plants.
