TBH, after yesterday I don't think I can recommend it. I have fungus gnats and the only place they can have come from is the compost. I had everything dialled in until this point, the loss of peat is like going back to square one.

I am going to continue with some experimentation. I am going to try the peat free version of Jack's Magic, I used the peat version for years with no issues. I have no problem with the actual medium, it is likely that my fungus gnat issue came from the place I bought it from.
I can't be bothered with the extra work that no till or coco brings. At the end of the day this is merely a hobby for me, I don't actually smoke the stuff anymore (I got smoking related cancer). My wife and daughter smoke it, so it is for them really.
