Didn't catch anything worth eating other than s few small crab. Didn't have any more money for the car park so brought the rockpools back with us :-) got a kitchen full of live crabs, prawns and fish :-)

Pork and chorizo burgers were so good I bought another 4 and some black pudding, bacon, and eggs to go on top. Gonna have cheese fondu in a tick with some white wine and maybe a couple of beers.

nice presentation sunni.

shame about the catch ttt.

I made burgers and sausages from scratch yesterday! the new meat grinder thing is a beast. so much fun to play with but damn making sausages is an artform lol

I managed it just. pork, chorizo, breadcrumbs, load of paprika. THEN SOME FUN AND GAMES TRYING TO GET THE MINCE INTO THE CASINGS HAHAHA.

def couldn't have taken pics and done it. it was way too messy, going to have another go today though so hopefully my lady will oblige. once i've got them without air bubbles in i'm going to be eating way too many sausages this year.

Food is lookin good in here as per usual! I just got back from vacation a couple of days ago. Ate a lot of great meals while I was away, unfortunately I didn't have a phone or camera to take pics but it wouldn't have mattered much because I also had no cell service or Internet connection. I had the most delicious pizza I've tasted in my whole life, also tried a good dish called penne Pugliesi that had penne pasta with Mushrooms, spinach, black olives, Sun dried tomato and roasted eggplant with a balsamic vinegar heavy sauce. There was a lot going on there but then ingredients all clicked. I also got to taste [alot of] the number one rated beer in America which is only produced and distributed in the state I visited. Now it's back to the real world.

I was up in northern Vermont about 15 mins away from Canada. The beer is called Heady Topper, pretty hoppy strong taste. It was tough to get a case, shops that get deliveries sell out of it in like half an hour. Eventually we found some in a backward ass little town. I'm not really a beer expert but someone I traveled with is and they had to try some. It was good, but I've had beer I liked more in the past...didn't really get the hype

Do you pre soak your sausage casings and use when dripping wet? I always found machine fed sausages easy to do once you had learnt the pressure of the output. So much you can make though :-) really want to try the Cajun sausages made with rice.

I got fake casings so I didn't have to soak them and just run some veg oil over to lube them.

Won't use them again, no elasticity to them.

And yeah the second time once I'd got the mark of the speed it pushed out I had it nailed, no air bubbles & enough slack for twisting links, more fat and salt.

i had some baby back ribs that i marinated in a dry rub, cooked them with beer and then made a beer bbq sauce to go ontop, dont worry not all the beer went into dinner, i got my fair share to drink too :P i also made a homemade coleslaw to go with it

image.jpg image.jpg I threw a few chicken breasts in the crockpot with corn, black beans, cilantro, and some other spices. Also made some yellow rice and grilled some zucchini from my garden. Want apeshit with the hot sauce because I love to feel the burn.

Also attached should be the rest of the stuff I picked from garden this morning
