O.k so I went to joes crab shack for dinner at the beach and had there new steam pots. Crab legs, mussels, clams, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn with about 8 double vodka and crans and a long island ice tea. I was drunk as hell and got pulled over by the dick head beach police for going 8 over and making a illegal u turn. I did not have my license or proof of anything. I thought I was going down for dui for sure. My wife told him she usually grabs my license for me and she forgot. Not only did my shit faced ass not get a dui but he did not even write me a ticket thank God! Maybe it was because he was a redneck and I drive a Dodge ram with duelies and my wife was with me but I was so relieved when he did not ask me to get out of the truck or give me a field sobriety test.

Great meal, but wow dude.... gotta take it ez on the drinking and driving....

I absolutely love a well made Long Island, but I rarely get one when i go out for just that reason....unless I am not going to be driving.

I'd rather drink at home.... in the dark....alone....listening the the Bee Gees, than get a DUI ...

Yes, don't ask me why, but duallies do make a difference. I have been pulled over about 3 times for speeding.... and always let go.

Yea it's rare I go out drinking that much but we had a sweet booth and the atmosphere was just right. I was just about to eat another french bread pizza like I did the other morning but I decided to read the box and they have 920 calories and 52 grams of fat. The hell with that! I'm starting on a softball league tomorrow and I don't know how much speed I've lost over the years but I know those kind of meals wont help.

Softball... man it's been a few years since I played that. Loads of fun and good outdoor exercise.

In college, I played rugby. As soon as my roommate (who was English) informed me of the wild parties and sponsored kegs of beer each week after a game... I signed up.!! I got banged up a bit, but the bier was that much better because of it!

They stink too much for me. I am a strictly salt water fish man. They are really good for ya tho.

No I'm talking fresh. I have cooked hundreds of pieces of it in restaurants and they all smell and taste the same. I don't really mean stinky tho but just strong and fishy tasting. I like white meat salt water fish.

I don't like trout but they are oily and darker meat and also too fishy for my taste. I live in North FL. and catch them when I'm flounder fishing but I give them away. Reda are o.k but they don't yield allot of meat. I fish and gig on a large scale for money but I just prefer the white meat.

I agree.... Salmon is something I just never order....I can always find something better... for me that is

The only time I will eat Salmon is when it is cold and smoked and on a bagel with cream cheese.

Favorite fish is Orange Roughy.

Best fish i have ever eaten was in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. We had all spent the day on my in laws 35 footer out on some islands. At the end of the day we all stopped at a nice local restaurant... we were a bit late, but we knew the owner, so no worries. He informed us that he had a single piece of "El Capitan". I had never had that so my brother in law insisted I have it, so I did. The owner told me that I would not be disappointed. He actually had two pieces but was saving the last one for himself...

It was fantastic... and to this day, i don't know what it is called here in the states.

My second favorite is Pompano cooked on a bed of rock salt. It's hard to find though...but if you ever see it.... get it. MMmmmMmmm good.

Pompano is my all time favorite! The hardest of the fish to catch. I could school you if you ever want to learn how to slay em! I get the most per lb off them than any other fish. They are great for grilling due to them being such thick firm fillets.

Yes, I love them to .... well....to death!

I can usually do well with them on "love lures".... occasionally I have caught two at a time with them...which as you already know... is a MIGHTY fight. They turn that body in the water, and you think you have a 40 lb grouper on there.

Yes because they swim in the rough current usually right past the second or 3rd sand bar. Sand fleas are there #1 favorite but you have to be able to cast a good 100 yards to reach there stomping grounds while casting from the beach.

When I was big into fishing.... when i lived on the west coast.... I had an 18 foot Cobia boat. We would catch them near the bridges on the tides in the intracoastal. One early morning I am out there with my wife.... about 6:30 am. We had a Manatee swim right by the boat with her baby first.... then i caught two Pompanos on one cast..... so the day was looking pretty good! I had one extra line out and as I went to the back to get some bait.... that pole was hit and in a second... GONE! Into the water and straight down. I considered it lost, but my wife...who is 5 foot nothing and about 95 lbs. simply asks me...matter-of-factly....if I wanted her to go get it. I just giggled and said..... sure...go get it.

The next thing I hear is a splash....in she goes!!! Down she goes!!! 15 seconds later..... like the Lady of the Lake.... this pole rises out of the water! I grab the pole and my wife swims over to the ladder I had quickly put out.

There was a Pompano STILL on the hook!!!! Mofo!!! The bridge tender watched the whole thing evidently...and he shouted out to us and just kept hitting that horn over and over again.

What a morning!!! What a wife.
