White Widow First Time Grow several questions

Feminized seeds are just that, feminized, not total 100% pure female seeds. But the odds of getting a straight/pure male are exceedingly low so you should not bother to worry about it and you should not have to worry about sexing your plants, though it never hurts to check. But the odds are slightly fair that you might end up with hermies.

Since you did not purchase the original White Widow (Black Widow) genetics, whose knockoff White Widow did you purchase?

I bought my seeds from an online bank, cannabisseeds.com

Yes and no...depends on situation and just keep thinking Female and hope they are....cuz if one hermies it can be bad for the other one too seed in the weed....sos

That is one knockoff White Widow that I am not at all familiar with. But the description below is enough to know it cannot be all that much like the original White Widow/Black Widow. The one knock against the original White Widow/Black Widow was it's taste, it's flavor, it was/is not a tasty strain. After it was released there were a number of crosses made with it where breeders attempted to retain the original potency but improve the flavor/taste.

You know tons more about it than I do. They said they were Dutch if that helps, lol. Anyway, should still be some awesome smoke if I take care of It and do things right, right ?

It might be and it might not be. Only time will tell. What is certain though is it is genetically different from Scott Blakey's (AKA Shantibaba's) Cup winning White Widow he later renamed Black Widow.

I have never read anything about that. Does it actually change the light spectrum, does it alter one light spectrum to another light spectrum or alter a light spectrum and create a mix of light spectrums or does it just 'tint' the light?

Either way, since we know what light spectrum work best for the vegetative stage of growth and what light spectrum works best for the flowering stage of growth about the only tweaks I see as being worthwhile would be adding UVB lighting or if someone did not want to do that, if they use high enough wattage lighting, 600-watts or 1000-watts, can mix light spectrums by using dual filament bulbs that will put out both a metal halide light spectrum and a high pressure sodium light spectrum from a single bulb. (300-watts of each MH and HPS from a 600-watt light and 400-watts MH and 600-watts HPS from a 1000-watt light)

That's why I posted link to thread... and its some kind of a CTO screen/film used to supposedly change spectrum of light/or lens (for a camera )but im no Pro in that area? just thought you could shed some light in that area, the guy is a film/tv guy of some sort...lol
