Yes. It is used as a ground cover in landscaping down here. A dude contracts the straw from me. He supplies all the labor and equipment. I just get a check. Those are Longleaf Pines. It brings the best money for straw. I get a hundred bucks an acre.
Thats pretty sweet deal. Probably helps with the property taxes a bit.

Yes it does. That little patch is 20 acres, so $2K per year. I'll be able to do it for a few more years, until it's time to thin the trees.

You girls are cute with your little tiny baby plants. Calling them trees. Rule number 1 : to be classified as a tree its gada cast a 10x10 shadow at lease. I'll give you the greatest 3 pieces of advice your never gunna listen to but I'll tell you anyways : 1.) Nothing less then 200 gallons of soil.
2.) Educate yourself on triacontanol
3.) Foliar feed like there is no tomorrow.
4.) Organics is s joke , dont kid yourself Agricultural Salt Nutrients if you want monsters of dank.
5.) Feed those fat girls. They hungry.
