I know man, it was gettin to tall so I chp the top off and it sent it to fuckin weirdo mode hahaha leafs started to go all crazy and turn brown so I just decided to chop the whole thing down and try and dry whatever immature buds looked big enough to try and salvage. But yeah thiis one girl I got left is lookin sexy. I woke up this morning and she was leaning almost to the ground so I staked her up.

ive always liked the blue strains. who dont like blue or purple in their bud! my first pic was the blackberry from nirvana but ended up going with the ak b/c they were cheaper.

hopefully u can get something off the plant u chopped quantum! that other girl must be putting onsome weight! that would be another good problem!

Day 25 of flower and my AK48s are putting on some nice hairs. I flushed again after the plants showed some burning on the leaves. This time the flush went fine. Pretty sure what I did wrong with the first flush was I splashed the solution onto the leaves and then put the plants back under the light which burnt the leaves. This time I made it a point not to get the root drench on the leaves.

Some leaf curling is evident in the pictures. I'm still overfeeding or it's heat stress from the 600 HPS being too close, or both. I've raised the light and am going to back off on feeding a bit. I wish you could smell the inside of the tent. It smells like pepper and pine, real fresh and minty. The little nugs are getting greasy.

Still on target for early to mid January for a harvest and late January for the smoke report

hey Shimp! looks like you have a jungle on your hands. that looks awsome. soo many leaves!!! just curious on how close you kepp your light to your plants durring floweing. yours has 200 extra watts but i would still like to know. thanks!

here goes a few pics of my plants. their doing their thing right now! ive started feeding them FF big bloom. i plan on transplanting them to their final pots saturday. the 4th node is shooting out now. i will also start the LST this weekend as well. im looking forward to seeing how fast the tops turn back to the light. i read that it takes around 3 hrs or so with a MH. unfortunatly it took longer than 3 hrs with the cfl's i had.
so im looking forward to that.

one thing ive noticed about the ak-48 is that one plant could have skinny leaves and another could have real fat leaves. you can deff. tell its a hybrid. i find it very interesting how a plant can be dominant in certain traits. i havnt done a lot of research about all that but i guess i should!!

The hood is aircooled and I was letting the top of the tallest plant get to within 4". I raised the hood up and the gap is about 6" now. The leaves were fat during veg - very Indica looking. Now in the 4th week of flower some of the leaves around the buds are looking very Sativa.

thats super close Shimp! thats some great ventilation! my grow box is half "ghetto". no way would i ever be able to get my light that close lol. i bet your plants are lovin all that light.

hey guys i have a white mildew problem on one plant and its spreading it to my other plants what should i do to get rid of this i already fixed my humanity its about 40 - 54 i also wiped most of the mildew leaves with safer 3 in 1 mite insect fungus spray but it dont seem like its going away IF ANY OF YOU GUYS CAN HELP ME PLEASE REPLY THANKS

Sorry i havnt been on in a few days everyone. hey Cam. it sucks ur still having a mold problem. search around this site and you will be able to find tons of info about getting rid of mold. If there is a hydro store near you u can go see if they have any products. also i hear peroxide works well!

Hey Guys!! I transplanted my girls today. their in their final pots.. There was a huge amount of roots in those party cups. im sure they will take off now! i havnt fed any veg nutes yet. only the micro nutes. i plan on add the veg nutes next watering. I also lowered the light today as well. itsnow 18" above the plant top. i will be keeping my eye out on any heat stress! tomorrow im gonna pin them down for the first time. let the LST begin!!

I LST'd my plants today. I hadno problems at all. the were pretty bendy this morning. I also lowered the light to 15" above the canopy. in 3 hours i will take some more pics to see how fast the top will turnback toward the light. more pics to come!

Good luck on the next grow. Here's some updated bud pr0n from the AK48s at day 30 of flowering:



Two of the plants are looking over-fed so I flushed again this morning and have been cutting back on feeding. I've upped PH to 6.5 and all new leaves look happy but a lot of old burned leaves had to be trimmed. Buds are getting dense. Down inside the bush it's buds everywhere. Stems and stalk are very sturdy. Won't need any stakes. Most impressive thing is the smell in the tent - pepper, pine and mint. No trichomes visible yet.

Of my 3 plants there are 2 phenotypes. The two taller ones have darker leaves, shorter bud hairs and are sensitive to over-feeding and ph fluctuations. The shorter one has lighter leaves, longer bud hairs and has not been bothered by my mistakes in PH and feeding. I think I'm going to mix her nutrients differently from the other two plants and feed her a bit more aggressively.

ya shimp. ive also seen the different phenotypes. mostly in the leaves. one plant had wide leaves the other had thin ones. your plants are huge Shimp. Ak-48 does have a great smell. the pine part is easily distiguished but the other scents are a little misterious. i have a hard time judging them!

I forgot to take picture 3 hours after i LST'd them. i can tell you that the tops were not turned back up... im not saying it doesnt happened but im starting to think people like to exadurate! im gonna start believing less. If your tops turn back up in three hours please video tape it for me. even my piece of shit snap and shoot 7mp digital camera (4gb memory) can hold 3 hours of non-stop video. so i dont want to hear that excuse. seriously i would love to see this on video. i really just dont believe it as of right now!! if anyone can help me out on this that would be great!!!!!!!

here goes an update on my plants. the are 4 weeks old today. there are tons of colas everywhere. ive added 3 cfls to the 400w MH. i figured they would like the extra spectrum. im thinking of switching to flower in a week. everything is going good so far. ive been expieramenting a little witht he light. i can get it pretty close. about 7 inches. cant wait till they flower!!
