Wtf ac won't keep from cool

So I only have 1 1000 going in my 4x8'tent and it's still 86 in there 76 in the bedroom should I out the ac in the actuall tent?
I'm running lights at night also so shouldn't be hard to keep cool I'm in SoCal so temps arnt crazy high outside?
Any help pleasE?

What kinda extraction fan are you using for the 4x8 tent? I have 1400w in a 5x6 area, and a 2x3 veg tent with another 250w all in one room with a 5000btu window unit, it keeps me in the high 70's...I run a closed loop for my lights on the larger room, and vent the 2x3 directly outside. What sort of AC unit? How many BTUs?

And I am in a 4x8 tent in a 12x12 bedroom with this portable ac.vented out the window but my light is just vented out the tent with a 340cfm can fan.
And it's a 10k btu ac sorry

I plan on ordering a 8x8 and doing two 1000s then I have a bigger den I'm putting a 10x10 in when it gets cooler since I will have to ac the whole house since dens don't have a door to keep them sealed up.

It sounds to me that if there's a 10 degree temperature differential between the tent and the encompassing room, you aren't replacing air fast enough.

Can you tell if you have negative pressure in the tent?

Yea man it's like a suction cup I have a 340 cfm inline fan and it seems powerful enough I'm thinking ac unit needs to be in the tent huh?

Are you sucking room air thru light and out window. If so then you wont have much cooling capabilities as your blowing it right out the window... pull air for light from different area and tbat will prob do the trick

Not necessarily. Are you pulling air from within your tent via filter, then pushing out through the lights? Try expelling that air outside through the window as opposed to the encompassing room. Be sure that your room itself allows some passive intake, as the AC needs that to run effectively.

Make sure you have enough passive intake on your tent available, and there are no obstacles in the way of the intake vents. Also make sure that you are sucking in air into the tent from the AC at the opposite side of the tent the window is on, if possible.

I'm a bit liquored, so hopefully this made sense ;)

Air is being pulled through the lights but not vented out the window just out the tent and into the room I'm thinking a small intake fan will help bring the cool air in and push the air out of the tent faster

Ok so I added a small 6 inch booster down low and it's got the outside of the tent at 71 and the inside at 79 and I'm happy it's that as long as it stays below 80
So I hope when I get the second 1000 up it won't heat up too much more but winter is coming and things will be cooling down outside so I think I should be good thanks guys.

77-79 is my ideal temp in both veg and flower, but I don't start getting concerned until it gets up to 84 for more than a couple of hours. Still 'safe' range, but I prefer not to have it that hot.

On really hot days, I have to put a fan in front of an exterior door to direct cool air toward the tent room. Thankfully, humidity is extremely low in my area, so I don't have to contend with the extra temps due to humidity plus summer heat.

Yea I have I extra box fan and totally think that's a option when I get the 8x8 and second 1000 up in there.
I have low humidity it was like 35% last night and 47% early this am
What's optimal like 55% vegging and 45% flowering I think right?

anything below 85 will work fine. some genetics will get fluffier then others.. but ive had heat spikes up to 90. and no issues.. sept mold in late flower.. but only on 1 strain..

and that was from a central air unit breaking mid summer.

Bare that in mind if you plan on adding a 2nd 1000w.

Its easier to exhaust hot air than it is to intake cooler air.

You'll probably find that if you exhausted out of a window now your AC probably won't be running for as long thus saving you some money too as portable AC's can use as much wattage as a 1000w light.

Hey man was just giving this some thinking if I'm exaughst in and the ac comes on isn't it a total waste cause it's just blowing cold air out?

Your AC vent should be directed low, your exhaust should be up high.

Ideally with AC you should ultimately seal your room and run Co2 but it will work as I said.

The only difference is that by exhausting aswell you will obviously loose some of the cool AC air but if you need it to remain a certAin temp without adding Co2 enrichment then how else do you plan to do it?

If you exhaust more than your rooms dimensions of up to 3x per minute once you exceed this 3x then AC is required anyway.
