Buds quality LEDs VS HPS

organic chemistry =/= organic gardening
No it does not...just as two examples are shown, one being chlorine which is not an Organic compound, but is approved for use in organic gardening as per the USDA, right from the goddamn manual....on organic certification, so just happens that I have consulted for the main inpecting arm for USDA Organic certification for the West Coast...Oregon Tilth....anyone is free to read their literature right on their front page.....

taken further, there are other compounds like certain types of animal steroids and antibiotics that are clearly not Organic in compound nature and are grandfathered into the USDA's description of organic gardening and as such lists them as organic. Fine, that doesn't make them an actual organic compound containing carbon, because they have none in the chemical formula.......

fuck sakes cobby again, please city any credible reference that says that an organic compound is somehow inorganic i.e Co2, cyanide as other examples cited.....

My other post meant no disrespect toward the LED Growers out there that are actually doing it and doing it well, I'm getting to know a few and I think GG did an awesome grow with HPS and LED. I will join the party someday too. Your work will help that transition. I have already told one excellent LED grower that he is bringing me closer to make the transition.
Just got crabby at the arrogant tone from potential non-growers.
I am curious of an observation I made hanging in this area recently.
Why do the people who spend the majority of their time in the LED section have an abondance of likes.
I get why there are so many likes given in the politics section or the toke and talk section but why the LED section?

im not getting involved in your argument, just factually stating that they are completely unrelated

organic chemistry = deals with compounds containing carbon

organic gardening = completely independent of whether a compound contains carbon (see: glyphosate and any of the other 1000s of horrific petrochemicals that are organic molecules re: organic chemistry)

Edit: after catching up on posts i agree with your statement that plants primarily only uptake nutrients as elemental ions. i was commenting on the more common terminology of "organic" as applied to gardening, which really wasnt what you were talking about at all.

Is uranium organic?
Radon?
Would my plants glow in the dark?

Atomic weight/yield could be awesome. :P

You guys do know that HID will probably go the way of incandescent bulbs and be banned at some point because it's a inefficient obsolete tech.
In my city they already have been. Not only are they inefficient but they're tired of seeing house fires started by stupid kids with streetlight grows.

Bull shit. The hydro stores in your area are selling the shit out of hps. Call them up and ask them.
I know every store in the city and they sell HID only to 'people growing outside of town'. $3000 fine for using them inside city limits.

Fuck your bullshit. Next time you wanna mouth off, do your homework first.

It's against city ordinance. Did you just learn to read?

The idea that people violate city ordinances doesn't mean they aren't in force.

I haven't had to screw in a replacement LED yet (knock on wood)
How is replacing lamps every year treating you?
I've sent LED buds to the people who shared these cuts with me years ago and I have records of their reactions and impressions and not a one had a negative thing to say about the LED grown as they didn't even know it was LED buds...

I challenge any HID maximalist to an HID/LED smokeout and we can record the whole thing for youtube.
WHAAAAAT? I thought all LED weed was better quality, yet they didn't know? Hmm????
