forgat to mention the space im building the tent on is near a window so i can maybe attached some ducting in between tent and window?? for exhaust.

Its Winter time outside here where Im at, temp is usually bet 30-40F but my apt is thermostat controlled so temp inside is usually bet 70-78 degrees.

Get the 400. That is a good deal. HTG had good buys on 400W lighting. Given those choices I'm not sure how they sell any 250s lol

That is the same fan/filter combo I just ordered. Should do you up right.

A single exhaust port will work for your setup. intake holes should be low on the wall and in a place that will not allow lots of light in. As long as you have good exhaust passive intake kind of takes care of itself.

Be careful exhausting out a window. Can be a dead give-away if not properly disguised.

hey doogleaf thanks.

no i know what you mean. What i was thinking is exhausting it out the ac compartment, its a enclosed space and not visible from outside, so im not going to put it on exactly a window per say.

Now are you saying 1 exhaust hole and 1 intake hole is enough? one 4" on the top tent for exhaust and 1 at the bottom side of the tent for intake???

hey do you know where i can get instructions or pics on how it should look?

i seen some tent set ups where the ducting coming out on both side and on the top.

Sorry bro just trying get this right.

The tents you see with exhaust out each side and 1 from the top have sealed lights. The air they are using to cool the light comes in 1 side and out the other. There is really only 1 "exhaust" from inside the grow. Put your exhaust (make it a rectangle hole rather than round) about 2" x 4" on the low corner opposite the exhaust. Leave a flap of material on the hole if you can so the air coming in the gap pushes open the flap like a doggie-door

what do you mean by sealed lights? so are you saying i wont be able make a cooltube and attached ducting to the sides? damn bro this seems to be the hardest part of the set up. wish i can find a detailed pic on it.

im going to sketch what i think it should be, maybe then i can get a better idea.

will post sketch later on today or tmr.

Hey guys sorry for all the noob questions but I been reading thoroly on these online forums and i found answers to my last 2 threads.

If anyone can just enlighten me on the hempy feeding regime i would greatly appreciate it!

Im just little confused w/ how many nutrients I need, and what to mix with what, etc...

Thank you so much my fellow ganga lovers:lol:!

Just follow the fox farm schedule, I find it the easiest to follow. At the beginning, just use a quater strength, and each week, just add another quater until you are at 100% or yor plants tell you to slow down...

Hey Hempy vets,

I am on Day 5 on my grow and I am watering them very gingerly since I am using Miracle Grow perlite (100% perlite, no mix, Poland Spring water). I am at 76.1 F and they were implanted into presoaked (meaning rez was full of water) foam cup.

When / what should my watering cycle be? As I said I am watering them to keep the girls growing, they are no where near the rez.

Any advice for a fellow hempy grower?

Gracias

You can follow my grow on my sig (with pics)

Cheers man.
Fox Farms is on a 12 weeks schedule. They assume that you are vegging for 4 weeks. And they also assume that flowering will take 8. Basically, if you want to veg longer, keep the nutes on the same schedule as week 4 until you are done vegging. Same for flowering, some strains flower for 12 weeks. Just keep the same as the last week of flowering on the schedule.
Fow Farms has "1" schedule that covers 6 of their ferts. 3 liquid ferts and 3 soluble powder ferts. The powdered ones are for big blooms and fruit and resin productiong. They are high phosphorus I believe. Some suggest they are a rip off, others love them. It all depends I guess.
There are 2 schedules, as in one for the soil ferts, and one for the hydro ferts. Obviously, Hempy method is hydro, so you should use the hydro ferts.
These ferts are not cheap, but some claim well worth the price! This is the first time I have used them, so I can't really comment on this.
I am at about half strength, and so far my gals are doing pretty good. I have been fooling around with the methodology of the Hempy's this time around, so I am not sure how things are going to go.
Hope this helps, cheers, mannurse801!

Hello everyone. I need a little help. I decided to grow with Hempy buckets for my first grow.

I am using 5 gallon kitty litter buckets and 4 gallon sterlite waste baskets for containers.

I mixed my perlite/vermiculite 75%/25% and filled the containers. I watered all the containers with 6.25 PH adjusted water. This was the first wetting/flushing of my new soiless mix.

The water running out the overflow hole was hitting 7.5 + PH GREEN!:-(

I am wondering if this is due to this being the first watering of my medium - and the dust from the perlite/vermiculite running through in to the overflow is causing this PH spike?

Thanks in advance.

buddy

It can be from the materials for sure. Keep checking and wait to see. But remember, you are flushing out the concentrated stuff, so it is normal to have variances in ph. Just keep testing.

O.K.... I'm now running in Hempy Bucket system. Been at least 12 hours now, why don't i have huge monsters yet ?!?!

Just kidding. But i wanted to provide a link for my '99 Plant Hempy Grow' (in my sig).

I think i will deffinitely prefer this to a classic soil grow once i get all the pH kinks worked out.

Thanks manurse801. "Keep on testing (PH)" is one of my mottos for this grow.

Dagambler: looks like a good grow for me to follow expecially as you square up your PH.

Very nice setup BTW

I am officially hempy now and can't wait to see them explode. i started in crappy mg soil but did the delicate operation to get them to hempy. I watered with distilled water and decided not to add any of my fox farm nutes until my next feeding. I've added some pics. they look shitty and i don't know what happened. It could have been the gnat problem i had or the nute issue with the mg soil. Let me know what you think..I will keep you updated on my first hempy grow.. ..View attachment 317203

All is not lost; they are still upright! I think you are right to skip the nutes for awhile. Just water for now. They look like they've been through alot but still want to live. Welcome to the hempy collective.:leaf::leaf::leaf:
