How are you getting the ppfd measurements??

I looked up the formula and I'm getting a different answer so i figured I would ask.

The cobs are Cree 3590 3500k CD 36V powered by a 1.4A driver.

How do you get to the link in his signature, when he has his profile page blocked?
I've downloaded it before and had to dig deep in my folders to find it again because I couldn't download latest version.
If you go to that thread or anything bggrass has commented on then look at the bottom of his comments its there.
There are 2 downloadable links which he updates if he makes changes to the program.

Here you go though, https://www.dropbox.com/s/hqgj9n5qxb9xrei/DIYCOBLEDCalculator.jar?dl=0

and here is the other which is specifically for Citizen chips https://www.dropbox.com/s/2s0xo583lw10m29/CitiCalculator.jar?dl=0

Im going to put in an order for 4 of the mau5 kits thats a total of 40 cobs. Can anyone reassure me that the 4 kits will be as good or better than 4 1k lights?

Yes, you will see about the same or better results than your current lighting set up. Considering the color rendering index (CRI) rating for HPS or MH is about 22 and the COBs in the kit are usually 80CRI. Higher CRI ratings means the light driving photosynthesis is going to be more intense, to the plant, than HPS or MH. The driver in the kits are suitable to produce very bright light, to your eyes also.

Its not allowing me to place an order online because of a backorder. I couldn't find any info on how long or when they will be back in stock. Does anyone know how long the backorder will be?

the one I have samples of right now is 3mm high, so low profile but has the 3 latches built in for Angelinas, so no adapter is required, if we made one for Citis, how would you couple it and to what?

Hi Mark, so as far as the MAU5 kits go, the awesome new black anodized HS14080P heatsinks aren't included yet is that right?
I'm assuming they haven't come in yet

Also might you have an estimate as to when these 660nm Cree XPE diodes will be back in stock?

Thanks

no, (4) 200W kits will never replace (4) 1K lights, but they will do a great job replacing (1) 1K light

well problem with the reflectors being the LES on the CLU058 is larger- its a tight fit to the ID of he angelina, which only works when modified and mounted directly along with a chip. until ledil steps up were kinda out of luck with the large LESs. if you were to mount this reflector on an adapter it would be too high and interfere with the beam off to the sides.

anyway the reason i was asking about the holders was not because of reflectors, but rather so we had a high voltage rated holder for series applications above 150V
