Greetings from up over. I'm so excited about ordering from you tomorrow, I can hardly wait. A few (or one, not sure yet,) questions. If something is on back order, is that sent later in a separate shipment? Just discovered that sending a single Angelina adapter costs 60$, and that's not really an option for me. I don't need anything before I have everything, as you probably see? Can you hold an order until it's complete?

On your site the Angelina adapter is on back order, but some days ago you said in this thread that you had restocked. So I wonder if you have gotten the M3/M4 screws as well?

Is the shipping estimate the final price or can it be more or less? And where in the process is that finalized? And will it be possible to freeze the process at the point the grand total is final? Just might need to fatten up the bank, if you know what I mean lol.

Edit: can you recommend a heatsink for smaller cobs, maybe 10-20w-ish? I don't seem to be able to decipher your product range. Planning on building a veg light if the 3590 project work out. Both active and passive would be nice. Did I mention that I'm totally worked up about this experiment?

Sorry for rambling on, but this will be the definitely biggest investment I've ever made over the internet, so I'm trying to minimize the potential for error.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Atta
Thanks for your interest, to confirm we do have Angelina adapters in stock, so have everything in stock right now
Shipping estimate should be right but PM me details if you have any concerns.

Re can you recommend a heatsink for smaller cobs, maybe 10-20w-ish, do you mean additional to a kit or do you want that as a kit?
Cheers

Thank you for the quick reply. I'm thinking about going with 2x your 250w @1400 drivers, the suitable heatsinks, and cob with Angelina kits. I would love to make this a one stop shop, so it would be great to get confirmation about the m3/4 screws. I live in what is diy'ers 3rd world, so if it's possible to order some of the 18awg it would help.

The smaller heatsink would be for a diy veg light with smaller cobs, but I'm always a couple of projects ahead of myself. Just don't feel like 800g of metal is necessary for 20w dissipation.

Thanks again

@Growmau5

I've followed your work for such a long time, I'm forever grateful for your work in simplifying cob grow lights.

I'm quite certain I've read it before in this thread, but I have some questions about ultimate coverage. And I don't have time or skills to find it if I'm to order before tomorrow in Oz. I'll either order 10 3590s with the 250w @1400 drivers, or 12 with the 200w @1400. The 250s give more bang for the bucks, while the 200s are easier to fit in individual bars. I guess what I wonder is, how long would be the ultimate length of a 200 bar, and how deep would 3 of them illuminate satisfactory? If I go with ten I'll probably have to build a single rig. In that case, would 4 - 2- 4 be good?

Do you have experience with their drivers? Particularly how they compare to MW.

I'm already in your debt, but hope that you will get me deeper into it lol.

Respectfully in awe, Atter.

Edit: I would rewatch your movies, but I don't have access to a proper internet connection.

And now that I've talked myself into 12 cobs in 200w I noticed that the 200w @1400 mA was on back order. Guess I'll have to go look for it elsewhere. Have hardly slept last night because of excitement/nerves/autism.

Edit: when I read the specs on the 250w @1400mA I found the load vs efficiency chart. There is minimal loss of efficiency @80%, which I suppose running 4 3590s on a 250w driver. The 200w driver don't have a specsheet, so that would seem a little bit of a blind leap. I found the hlg185, but I would really like to get all my stuff in one order. If I'm off in reading the specs on the 250w, please let me know before I make a fool of myself.

Ok, one last update, and I´ll stop cluttering the thread. Just ordered 12x cxb3590 CD 3500K, fittings/Angelina, and the in heatsinks. Since you were out of 200w drivers I went for the hlg185h-c1400b. If (when, lol) I upgrade the rest of my hps I´ll try Cutter´s. Even the little stuff like M3 screws or Wagos are nowhere to be found around here. Gonna start sourcing alu for the bars tomorrow, as soon as I just jump in and decide on pot and resistor for the dimming. If anybody have a link to a fitting pot and resistor at mouser I´d be eternally grateful. Finding a pot isn´t the problem, but I´d love one that looked kinda professional with no design skills lol. The resistor I believe is supposed to be 10k, I´ll probably go with the ceramic 1w thingie, seeing as I don´t really know that much about it but the principles. The ones I´ve seen looked ceramic, so there. Jesus, I´m excited about getting a 600w hps out of my room, and the babies just popped up yesterday. If this works out Cutter will have a regular customer in me! Ciao for now.

Ah, so I can buy the knob, that sounds nice. The pots do look like they're made for one, never crossed my mind to look. Ty. I can wait for the knob, guess I'll just get the pots with my drivers as soon as I fatten up the bank again. I double and triple checked, it still cost more than expected. Sheeit, I'm still way too wound up about this project. Peace.

Ya use a 100k pot to dim one driver.
If you plan to wire 2 together on one plug, use 50k.
3 is 33-35k & 4 would be 25k and so on and so forth.

This is exactly what the dimming thread said in a way that my thc marinated brain couldn't discern with certainty. Think I'll use one for each bar, what with modularity being so sexy and all. Some day I'm going to find out how to give you wonderful people the likes you so deserve.

Amazon has the pots with knobs cheap as hell.i wanna say i paid 20 bucks for 10 x 100k pots plus the knobs.

@AtterStiga Im sorry brother, I did not find the size of your grow space...
'assuming 4x4 ish. You can be successful with 10. but while you are excited and doing the job, you might as well go with 12 and pump those ppf & yields up.
a 42" frame allows you to have the cobs spaced out just about perfectly and avoid a center hot spot, pushing some photons and some yield out to your corners.
(sorry bout the crappy "watermark" the chineses keep stealling my images and using them to sell shit on alibaba)

HOW CAN WE GET THOSE BARS! FUCKIN GENIUS MAU5!!!!

im refining the design and calculating cost at scale. its all that i'm working on this week. im really trying to do a big initial run to get them in peoples hands for a reasonable price.
-the slots that you see on the tops of the bars for 'perfect' spacing of 3,4,5 cob configs is making each unit cost $8 more than having no slots which allows me to nest these on a sheet of aluminum and push the waterjet to max speed. but I think people are going to want those slots for a true: screwdriver & wire strippers only build. ill keep everyone posted on when where and how to get them.

Love the design. Have you done a stability test with a bunch of heat sinks above the center of gravity? Don't want them to flip over and flower your overhead.

I'd much rather drill my own holes to save $8.
